Did you ever hear back on this? I am having the same problem. I just submitted a warranty ticket, but not seeing any replies to your post has me worried. I purchased the headphones less than 5 months ago, but I've only been using them for a couple of months as I didn't open the package for about 3 months. I wonder if this is why they were on sale for such a good price.
