  1. I've decided to buy the RC 64ll but I am concerned about how they will match with the RF 25's I have. I can't afford to upgrade the floors now. Just asking opinions on how the RC 64ll will match. I know not perfect but should I wait to upgrade everything when I have the money?
  2. Thanks guys for the input. I think I'll go with the deal on the RC-64 ll and see how it sounds with my set up. If it isn't a very good match with the rest of the system I'll eventually gather enough money to do maybe RP-280's or RF-7's. Thanks again for the help.
  3. I have a 7.1 system (2 RF25's, 1 RC25, 4 RB25's, 1 SW112) I am thinking about a new upgrade for my system. Just trying to get thoughts on a system with 3 RP-260F's leaving the rest of the system the same for now. Until I get some more money. The room is 14 X 20 and powering the system with Marantz 5008. I don't listen to music or movies loud but would like to see if I can get more clarity with TV and movies, and maybe a little fuller sound for music. Thanks for any opinions. I have found an RC-64ll on pretty good deal. First will it be much of upgrade to my current RC-25 and second will it be an OK match with the rest of the system?
  4. Thanks for the help, K5SS. I have played with the Dynamic Volume some. Don't really like it much though. Seems to make things sound flat but I will keep working on it. I listen to music with the system as well, both in stereo and Dolby IIx and don't like it at all for that. I do have a Klipsch 12SW which replaced my 12" Velodyne that died about 6 months ago. Sound overall is good just my hearing might be faulty. Thanks again for the advice.
  5. I'm looking for advice on upgrading my speaker system. My Home Theater System is Powered by a Marantz SR5008 running Klipsch RF25's, RC-25, and four RB-25's for surrounds. Purchased in 2005. Room size is 14 X 22. I am wondering if upgrading my system to the new RP line (RP-6000F, RP-404C, ....) would give me a noticeable improvement in clarity or not. I'm having difficulty hearing softer conversations parts on TV and movies without turning up the volume too high. I am hoping the upgrade would help that or maybe as I am getting older, 67, my money should be better spent on hearing help.
  6. Thanks for the help Alexander. I have adjusted the "dialog" setting on the Marantz. It helps but makes the center speaker quite dominate in sound portions of the movie that should be evenly distributed. It's OK but I would prefer not to have to do that. Then if I get your drift, the new RP line probably wouldn't be that much of an upgrade for me in terms of clarity or performance. I'm not disappointed with my sound now just thought 13 years of advancements might make things better. Thanks again.
