I’m selling my like new solid 9.5/10 tube amp with factory packaging. It has Prima Luna KT88 tubes and it is beautiful. The only thing keeping it from mint Is the stenciling of the word “POWER” on the front. Comes with everything like new. Sounds incredible.
Only selling to raise funds for a home project.

I'm not sure about your amp but Primaluna usually has a manual on their site if you google it. Okay I looked it up. In your Dialogue 5 you can use EL-34, 6550, KT-88, KT-90, 6L6GC, KT-66, 7581, and EL-37.
Hanks for looking that up. Guess I’ll stick with the KT88!,

They ought to get it cranking Benjie.
Moving on up in power would be KT-90, KT-100, KT-120, and the huge KT-150.
I wasn’t aware mine would handle those. There’s not info about my amp that I’ve found. It does sound great.

My PL Dialogue 5 came with the PL KT88’s installed. I’ve never rolled them as thay sound incredible with the old CW’s. Just FYI.

No comparison with my Cornwalls. 4 ohm all the way. I was very disappointed when I first tried the 8 ohm taps. There was absolutely no low end.

I have removed my PM8006 and put it up for sale. It was overkill to use such a beast only as a preamp.
I ordered a Parasound Zpre3 and have it up and running now. This is now a very simple setup. Tidal/Qobuz to Project Pre Box S2 to Zpre3 to Primaluna to Cornwalls. The sound is so much sweeter to my ears than any SS I ever had.

I recently purchased a PL Dialogue 5. I m using my Project Pre Box DAC for MQA and Qobuz streaming. I couldn’t be happier. It seems to be a great combo.

I’m selling my PM8006 like new in the box. Bought it last fall as refurbished from Marantz which is all I try to buy as they’re brand new. It will come in factory box. It is made in Japan, is all analog and awesome!

I’m using the 4 ohm tap on my PL power amp with wharfedale Denton 80 speakers. It’s magic.
I couldn’t agree more! It is truly magic. I’m re-listening to much if my catalogue.

Yesterday I bought my first tube amp. Wow! All the hype is true and more. A Prima Luna Dialogue 5 popped up locally on flea-bay for a fair price. Hours later it was installed in my system. But..... all was not well. Once I turned it on and let it warm up the sound coming out of my Cornwalls was not what I expected. It was very thin sounding with absolutely no bass. I had hooked up the cables into the 8 ohm connection since my speakers were 8 ohm speakers??? I was very disappointed and pretty much wanted to puke!
After some late night reading I tried hooking it up to the 4 ohm connections and alas boom! I cannot believe how beautiful it sounds.
I’m using my Marantz PM 8006 for the front end as it has my phono stage built in. I’ve been playing some of my favorite MQA files this morning. My wife even popped in to say how different it sounded. In a good way.

I just ordered my first tube amp the REISONG A10. I’ve wanted to try tubes for several years. My question is will my current amp serve as a good pre-amp for the tubes.
My current system does a great job of powering my Cornwalls:
Marantz PM8006
Micro Seiki DD35 TT
Awia F770 deck
Marantz CD6006
Roon/Mac Mini/Project Pre Box S2 DAC for MQA
I simply want to add the REISONG A10 EL34B TUBE AMP to my system and feed it from the Marantz pre-out to get a tube sound.
Thoughts???
