My new to me Chorus ii’s will be here in a couple of days! I bought them from a member here and they have had the Crites updates. The rest of my house I’m big time invested in Sonos and love them. I want to hook my Chorus ii’s up to my new (still in return period) Onkyo TX NR686 (works with Sonos certified). That way I can have the convenience of of my Sonos streaming in the palm of my hand, but still have WiFi. My concern is that the NR686 won’t have enough power??? I hear I need 200 watts to really make the speakers sound great. The Onkyo only provides100. Thanks for the education on this great forum.

My first Klipsch aquasition arrives tomorrow! What should I do with my beloved Mirage 60’s? I bought them new in 03’. They have served me well. Could they become my rears? Overkill or just right?? Edit: Just bought a pair of Chorus ii’s from a member here!!! The Mirage will not be used in my new setup!!

I live about 2 hours from Hope and am getting back into Klipsch after a twenty year hiatus. I just ordered a new pair of RP 280F speakers to replace an aging Mirage Omni60 system. These will be the base for my front stage. I’m sure everybody knows that Mirage is owned by Klipsch. Or at least used to be... I need a new AVR and have a budget of approx. $500. My room is 16x16’ with 8’ ceilings. I am about 70% music all genres and the rest TV/movies. On a whim at Bestbuy I bought an Onkyo TX NR686 this weekend. Now I’m thinking I should’ve done more research. I also have bought a slightly used Sony STRDN1080 that will be here this week. Please help me in deciding what receiver to go with.
