  1. I no longer have a home theater system, and this is just going to waste. Extremely well taken care of home theater amplifier that is nearly perfect. You would have a hard time finding anything anywhere near this build and sound quality today unless you spent big bucks! Direct coupled amp, no caps in the signal path! John Curl designed, and a beast at 85LBS. This amp will give you everything you ask of it without even breathing hard. Regards,,Jon
  2. Yea, it is a beast, direct coupled amplifier, no caps in the signal path. Its a beast!
  3. Here are a couple of pics of the amp. They truly don't make them like this any more. Have always been a big fan of the big parasound amps! Mine is the AT version, it was the newer version of this amp with a much nicer face plate. Really a beast of a home theater amp! Just loved it! Regards,,jon
  4. Hello, Yea, I was just going to list it on audiogon. You can have first crack at it? Very nice, and in incredible condition! $875.00. Wont find a nicer one. Regards,,Jon
  5. Hi, I have a beautiful Parasound HCA 2205 AT that is in nearly new condition. One of the best 5 channel amps made for the money. John Curl designed. These are built like tanks. 85LBS. will drive any 5 speakers to unimaginable levels. I just don't do home theater anymore. Beautiful amplifier! Regards,,Jon
  6. Its cool, I thought I was loosing my mind!!
  7. A far as I can see, I am in the garage sale tab? I closed my browser, opened it up and went to the garage sale tab, and the ad is there. Im confused?
  8. Hi, this ad is for a Like new Project Carbon Debut that has been upgraded to the Esprit model and beyond. I am also including a like new Moon 110 LP phono stage. All shipping included. All I ask is that if you pay via paypal, that you pay via the friends and family tab. The upgrades for the table include an Ortofon Blue cartridge and stylus, the stock Esprit comes with the Red. New upgraded acrylic platter, with felt pad and the original very good metal platter. The platter is a really nice upgrade though. Just these upgrades cost about 375.00 on there own. thats with no table? Also and nice record clamp as shown in the picture. Everything is like new and even the box is like new. Phono Stage is the very highly reviewed Moon 110 LP. Originally about $700.00. Much better build than the V2 Model. this stage is MM and MC. With impedance adjustments also. This is done via changing dip switches. This setup is extremely good sounding and a great way to get into vinyl if you have never tried. I have now upgraded to a much more expensive setup, but I will be honest, this sounds pretty dam good for the money. Also, the blue is pretty rare and looks incredible in person!! I will ship at my asking price. $545.00 Thanks, jon
  9. No, this is the most heavily braced cabinet you will ever see, it was just that I only had the 4 corner screws in for testing, and no gascketing material installed yet. Once the screws are in which will number about 20 per speaker, this will not happen. Thanks
  10. Yes, I gave him all the info. He is aware of my driver selection. He is building the crossovers accordingly. Thanks
  11. Almost done! Just waiting for my ALK extreme slope crossovers. Everything installed and just finished the black screens in the ports. Came out nice. I installed some crites cornscala crossovers I picked up a bit ago until the ALK's are done. I only installed about 4 screws in the back of each speaker so I could test them, and when i turned them up, it almost blew the backs off? lol! I thought I had blown the drivers but it was just the backs rattling. These B&C bass drivers put out prodigious amounts of air movement! They sound pretty incredible already, I can only imagine what they will sound like with Much better crossovers. I would venture to say that you would have to search far and wide for a pair of cornscalas of this magnitude? They turned out even better than I imagined. I will put up picks of the finished insides soon, as soon as I get the ALK crossovers. Good day to all....
  12. The point the guy is making is totally valid! The shit isn't even music anymore? Like he was saying, most of the songs are written by only a couple of guys, not actual bands? Bands and artists are created, not formed by people for the most part anyway. There is definitely a very specific formula for most songs on the radio, or at least the ones that they release. I get it, it is a business, but the things he is talking about, like harmonic complexity, hooks, Whoops, all real! Come on guys, a drum machine, a synth, harmonizers. Its manufactured music and most is not created by the ARTIST?? Don't get me wrong, there are still some amazing artists, you just hardly ever hear from them, because there music actually has soul, depth, real instrumentation, is not compressed, the songs not the recipe,,,,,3:30 to 4:00 minutes? Most of the stuff the guy is stating is scientific fact. Look at the Grammies now a days, god forbid that someone can actually play an instrument?? Taylor Swift! Best artist of the year? Are you kidding me? She can barely play a simple rhythm on her guitar, let alone write actual music. the guy is for the most part,,,, totally right! IMO.
  13. Yea, but at let they actually played instruments.
  14. we will see?? I have heard that this horn sounds WAY better than the stock cornscala horns. Im about to fire them up so I am looking forward to hearing them. Regards,,Jon
  15. Yes, a lot of elbow grease on these, I am almost done with them. I went a bit crazy with them, and even bought a pair of B&C woofers for them. Much better than the crites! A bit less efficient but much better linear excursion, and deeper tighter bass. I also am dampening the cabinets a bit and putting in some trick wiring. This stuff is fun, what else am I gonna do LOL!
  16. Thanks, a lot of work for this one! Regards,,Jon
  17. It is a horn kit that you can buy, but let me tell you, to get them to this point, it is a LOT of work and elbow grease! The mounting and how I integrated it into the baffle is all me. Notice that all other mountings of this horn you can see the outer frame. Most people just cut a hole in the baffle and mount the horn. I didn't want it to look added on, thus adding to the custom look of the speaker. The veneer was the hardest part around it, making it look good. there are no 90 degree angles, so the elliptical cutout in the maple veneer is extremely difficult. Anyway, that being said, you can purchase the horn from fast lane audio. About 300 just for the raw wood kit. but like I said, its a lot of work if you want it to look good. Regards,,Jon
  18. Do you think I should paint the bases black of just leave them clear maple? Regards,,jon
  19. Got the clear done, Putting drivers in soon.
  20. I have a brand new pair, never used crites 15" cast frame woofers. They are new in box, I was going to use them in a pair of crowns that I picked up but ended up selling them and building a pair of corscalas. I will ship at my asking price. $260.00 Thanks,Jon
  21. I found some crites cornscala crossovers for sale that will work for the time being. Thanks for your help, Jon
  22. Yea, that would be great! I just want to get some idea what they will sound like, realizing that the ALK's that I am having built will probably sound a lot better. Not looking for an active or permanent solution. just want to hear them until my crossovers are complete. Let me know how you would like to do this if your willing? Kindest regards,,jon
  23. Just looking for someone that perhaps built cornscala speakers and originally had the Crites, etc. crossovers for them. Hoping someone had upgraded and had the crites I could buy and use until I get mine?
  24. Hi, I posted my cornscala build here on the site. I am waiting for my ALK crossovers to be built but am dying to hear the speakers. Does anyone have maybe some crossovers for sale that they traded out for better ones. Like does anyone have the Crites crossovers that may have upgraded? I still have to wait almost 2 months for mine to be built/ Help, Jon
