  2. Hey Trey, been a while, not sure whats up, hope it's only temporary. Thoughts and prayers are with you!
  3. The man was an amazing tallent. Loved thriller back in high school. Didn't care for what he became, nor the scandals. Regardless of his personall issues, I find it very sad.
  4. Hey all... Wanting to get some of my DVDs ripped to my Zune. Not only do I want to put DVDs on there, but, other video as well. What software are you all using? Looking for recomendations. I've seen a few out there, but not sure which is the best, what I should be looking for in the software. I'd like to be able to take various formats and ensure that they can be played on my Zune. Anyway, thanks for any ideas!

    Max Payne

Ohhh..... it did not. [] It wasn't on par with Lord of the Rings, sure, but it wasn't THAT bad.
  6. Well... I think the Cards did a LOT better than what people expected. Even though they lost, I give them HUGE KUDOS!
  7. I agree that the cards beat themselves. But, there was some sh@t calls by the refs.

Great movie (Not STELLER) but definitly enjoyable. Mentioning it because there are some good visual affects as well as some very good audio.
  11. I have a line6 POD x3. I was shown how to take the output of the POD and plug it right into the return on the amp head's effects loop. Love it. Only thing it doesn't do that I wish it did was have a loop station. I've been eyeballing the BossRC-2. As far as tone goes.. I guess I'm just more concerned about how the box itself performs. Its not so much about tone, as much as could the cab simply sound better if it was more solid. I was very suprised at how light it is. Also it does not sound like it has any damping material in it. But, maybe amp cabs shouldn't. I may poke around, take the back off and put some damping material in there just to see what kind of a difference it makes.
  12. I figured as much about the tone, but... Lets say I took my existing cab's internal dimensions to keep the inside accurate, if I rebuilt it with 3/4" MDF or PLY, would this increase for the better, the sound of the cab, or would I just be wasting my time?
  13. Hey Colter... Mine is a closed back. I have a 4x12 cabinet. Meaning it's got 4 12" drivers in it. The entire cab is actually extremely light. Hell I think my amp head weighs more than the cab. I can't tell what the motorboard looks like due to the grill cloth. I could open up the back and find out. Just have'nt yet. As far as touring and joints? Hmmm... I would argue with the cab design team then... they could brace up those joints. So again... Given a closed back cab. Would it sound better with beefier construction given the frequencies that a 6 string electric guitar plays?
  14. I don't know whats worse. Being on the Lions team, OR being the first team next year to get beat by the Lions. []
  15. Just curious to know if guitar amp boxes need to be made of thicker material such as 3/4" ply or MDF, or can they get away with being made from thinner materials? I'm not referring to Bass cabs, rather 6 string electric guitar amp cabs. And if so, how (refresh me here) why does a thicker material matter?
  16. Wow.. I had no idea he was even sick. I will have to go find out and catch up. Very sorry for the loss to the family. Good speed Buck.
  17. Got my old KUSTOM amp back from my old friend. Found out it was made back in 1969. The shocker for me was finding out that it's not a tube amp. It's an old solid state amp. Got a new toy, got me a Line6 PODx3
  18. Hey all.. I ended up getting the Jackson DXMG DINKY http://www.jacksonguitars.com/products/search.php?partno=2910103544 First upgrade will be better pickups. Looking at a few different sets.
  19. Ha, I'm the one more than likely to get the raw end of the deal. I'm not good at wheeling and dealing. But, point taken.
  20. [] NICE My grandpa also used to say to me... 'Son, you're so short that when you fart, you blow sand into your socks'
  21. As my grandpa would tell me, you're so old you fart dust! [^][H] Happy Birthday Fini!
  22. Hey Dean, I was looking at this ibanez http://www.guitarcenter.com/Ibanez-RG5EX1-Electric-Guitar-103574026-i1167870.gc Or this kramer http://www.kramerguitars.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=328 I've read through some reviews of the Ibanez. People on the Guitar Center website seem to love it. However, I'm a bit concerned. Everyone seemed to rave over it. I did another search on the internet on that guitar and got mixed reviews. One person said that the bridge was complete crap. Someone else said that after heavy use it goes out of tune. I don't suspect I'd have any issues with playing it hard not anytime soon anyway. [] I've not read anything on the Kramer yet.
  23. YUP. I agree 100% By the way Joe, did you know that Tesla just put out a new CD on Tuesday? What I've heard sounds amazing!
  24. Indeed, a LOT of tallent. I almost forgot two bands that I adore... Steelheart and the one CD wonder Hardline. Well they had others but they were without Neil Shawn, Shaun??? Not sure how to spell his last name. Yes, I do recall your wife passing away. I wasn't going to say anything on the board because I was not sure if that was something you wanted brought up after all this time. Very good to know that you've been able to move past it and find new love. I've happy for you Bruce! [Y] If it makes you feel any better, I'm at least old enough. My kids aren't but I am. We had kids a little later than what our parents did. Probably a good idea, aloud me time to get my career going.
