  1. Depending on what you're using as main speakers I found that unless you gonna spend a lot and go big, the mains will over power most of these lower price subs. I like some of the Klipsch speakers but subs isn't their strength
  2. Maybe the older ones were not that good with the lower freq..at that time in my life just being loud was a good sound for a speaker
  3. I always thought those sounded great with strong bass, I see the new ones are like 51Hz. I have not had a chance to listen to the newer line..do they lack bass response?
  4. I read there were quite a few with amps going bad..think its over on avi forums

    Replacing KSW-15

I don't know if the R-115SW Amps have been upgraded/fixed or not but there were lots failures in the past.
  6. I hope they have better Amps than the R-115SW
  7. yeah but could end up in the same boat with these old tweeters
  8. Sounds like a winner, I don't know which tweeters you be working on but from what I read seems to be not a easy task..Good Luck..let me know how it turns out.
  9. True, I think there is a seller on ebay that has the foam. Place in Dallas I called said they maybe repair the tweeters (depends on what's wrong) if not they have another tweeter that they can fit..Said they done many of these and the sound is better than the original without the titanium..I may go that path, or find something else. Maybe some older Klipsch but nothing I heard in Best Buy they didn't sound anything like a Klipsch to me..as I remember..Good Luck with the foam
  10. The crossovers have been done to T3..I would have the original 035Ti repaired but just isn't anyone around anymore that does that. My setup is the L100T's (front) JBL 230's surround, and N-Center Northridge Series Center (yeah not the greatest but was trying to match the L100T. Oh some Pioneer Atmos speakers I forget the model. The AV is a Pioneer VSX-1131 Room is roughly 18x32x8
  11. I know this isn't a question about Klipsch but there much more activity here than on other forums. My question is, are there any good replacements for the 035Ti in the JBL L100T? I still have the ones that came out and have bought those $69.00 knockoffs ( which sound pretty good) I don't really want to buy another pair of 035ti that is decades old and will or needs repair. Wondering if there is anything out there today that would fit the bill, don't care if it is textile dome or what not. In fact I would prefer not going back with a Titanium tweeter...;Many thanks
  12. I know this isn't the same but I seen 100's of post on motorcycle forum that people thinking their bikes were running hot. My fix was to put black tape over the gauge so you can't see the temps. Now none of these folks said their bikes were boiling over just the temp gauge showing almost hot. If the amp isn't kicking off I wouldn't worry much about it.
  13. I read on another forum that things has improved, I was thinking about my older Yamaha player from the 80's and forgot about the blue ray player (DB85) Still gets me to think someone stole both my Yamaha Amp and Cd player, I guess only reason they didn't take my JBL speakers they were too heavy.
