    LCR upgrade

hello fellow klipsch owners,i posted this in the AVR forums and im gonna also try to post here and possibly get more info...im thinking of upgrading my current LCR speakers.i would like to stay with klipsch brand. if i was to upgrade im thinking of going this route -center channel RC-62II > RP-600C and bookshelves RB-81ii > RP-600M.this is for 100% home theater listening.im limited to 23inchs width for the center so i cant get the larger center. what do you guys think?worth replacing or keep what i currently have?will there be a big or small difference in sound by replacing speakers?i especially would like to hear from the people who have heard or owned these particular models?maybe another option would be to go with an amplifier and keep the speakers i have. components in my 5-1-4 HT is an HSU VTF-3 MK5 HP 15 sub , 1 klipsch center RC-62ii , 2 RB-81ii , 2 klipsch R5800Wii for rear fill , 4 klipsch CDT-5650-Cii for atmos , denon X500W receiver , samsung Q9FN..
  2. thanks...you guys helped me make my klipsch speaker choice easier....now where is my credit card??
  3. you guys are right on!anybody out there have any more comments?
  4. thanks for the replies....its almost a guessing game for me on speaker purchasing, due to the fact that i live in hawaii.the nearest polk dealer is on another island and there is no klipsch dealer on any islands in hawaii.i would have to go to the mainland for a comparison.my purchases will have to be online and very soon. later.....tim
  5. im just curious to hear your opinions on the klipsch rf3's reference series compared to the polk rti series.(floorstanding, center, and surrounds)i almost went ahead and purchased the polks online for my home theater recently.i now want klipsch.although i keep reading mixed reviews on the klipsch.what do you guys think?anyone experienced the difference in sound?make me feel better with my choice.thanks
  6. thanks for the replies,as for my main speaks , i have a b&w center channel(not sure of the model # , 2-5.25" mids and a tweeter)the fronts are mb quart(1 tweeter and 2 -5.25" mids each tower)this is a diy box i constructed with car speaks.rear fill are 1 tweeter and a 6.5 mid.they sound good with the upper frequencies but the midbass is almost non existant.they sound good playing digital dvd movies but when i play cd music they distort a little at high volume and just dosent sound right.im hoping the speaker upgrade will sound alot better then my setup right now.believe it or not my surround system impresses alot of people.ill try to get some pics up soon.thank you again
  7. hi guys,i am planning on upgrading my home theater speakers and in the later future replace my pioneer vsxd3s receiver with a pioneer elite.my question is on the performance of the klipsch rf3II.how do they sound?how do they perform near walls?(my front speakers are about 4 inches away from the side walls of my parlor-i cannot move them farther away from the walls).i am not to familier with the klipsch horn tweeters but am interested in the design.the nearest klipsch dealer is 100 miles away from my town.dont think i will get a chance on hering them before i purchase them online.i am also planning on getting Rc3II center and rcw 5 inwall for surrounds.i am planning to keep my klipsch sw-10 because i think it sounds great.i will apppreciate any inputs, comments or ideas on my speaker choice.thank you....tim
  8. thank you for your reply....i just figured out what was wrong.the dust cover on the 10 inch woofer got separated from the woofer cone about 40% around.i reglued it , and now it works just like before. thank you guys.
  9. my sw10 pops at loud volume(amp at about half way).it buzzes slightly at low volume.
  10. hello, i have a klipsch sw10 powered sub that just a few days ago started to make popping noises ffom the 10 inch woofer,im assuming that the woofer is bad.i have had this woofer for maybe 7 years.i really love this sub.what would be a good replacment from the new line of klipsch subs for this model that will sound equal or better? or should i replace the front speaker?know where i can get one? thanks in advance....tim This message has been edited by ts316 on 04-20-2002 at 05:02 PM
