I've used the KG3.5's with a 1 watt amp kit I built from Oddwatt. Does it peel paint off the walls? No it won't. If you are listening to jazz or concertos then 1 watt might be enough. If you are into Led Zeppelin and room shaking, ear-splitting volume then you'll want more wattage. My 18 watt/ch MIllett DCPP tube amp will drive my KG3.5's so loud that it is uncomfortable in my 12 X 18 listening room.

Pete Millett has designed a headphone amp/preamp utilizing the Korg Nutube called the NuHybrid Headphone amp. I have built this little amp and it sounds quite good.

New to the forum and currently own KG3.5's. I have decided to change out the caps first on these. Today I took out the crossover to confirm the capacitors. What is interesting is the pcb is for KG3 and KG1. The 8uf cap is soldered into a location that is labeled 7uf. I'll go with the 8uf unless somebody has a reason to go with a 7uf.
