Yep,both formats are outstanding,get a multi player.There will be units at a couple hundred bucks soon.If you have a bigger budget the yamaha s2300 is nice,pioneer 45a,47ai,last but not least the Denon 2900 under 1k.

These are both great choices, but I think you should listen to both if you can.The difference is something you need to decide.GOOD LUCK!

I don't know anyone(that's heard my discs) who thinks dvd-a is hype.There are MANY things audio that ARE hype,dvd-a,sacd are not.

You may look at the yamaha s2300,retail 1k,20lbs.

If your player is dvd-a capable it will have a dvd audio logo on the front.Most dvd-a disc have dts/dolby 5.1 also,but this is digital.The dvd a player has 6 analog outputs that go to ext.inputs(6)2 front,2 surround,1 center,1 sub,all marked as such on avr and dvd-a player.The actual sound of dvd audio I compare to the best turntable and lp's.It is a huge difference in sound quality from cd or dvd.If you want to hear almost every spec of sound on the master tapes in 2 channel,192/24 some disc also have that option.The surround mix when done correctly,Yes "Fragile",Deep purple"Machine Head" and Fleetwood Mac are a few,are almost as good as consumer technology can produce.

Denon 3803 pre/pro/back channels,parasound 1205a front,center,surround channels.The thing we all love about Klipsch is it only takes a little power to make em'sing.Ah..but they can take enough power to make em' screem!

Very similar,I prefer my 1205a and 3803 for the cash difference.I have owned several Marantz that sounded great but had two that broke down.I have owned several Denon and never had a problem.

The ? should be,which of these will make you NOT want to upgrade equipment,ever.

I think the EAR'S got it,but keep the copper color if possible and the price DOWN to competition.I have the rsw 15 and its a great 1k sub,NOT 1800.00.

Just so you know,I really like my rsw 15 and chose it over other brands.I must admit when somebody ask about a sub they get the svs pitch.The reason is they are very good at their price points.I personally do not think the models I heard were the "end all" in my search for a powerful musical subs.One final point is svs customer service is a model ALL should look to as the way to do biz.Your point well taken.

RSW15,love it,I tried the rest,its the best.If you want a sub that reproduces music/concerts its the one.On the other hand if you need a special effects sub,that vibrates,and reproduces bombs and train wrecks to the lowest hz,might look around.You can save some money if thats all you need.

I have a set of rf3's in my bdrm,best speakers I found in their price range.I liked em' so good I got 7's for my den.I highly recommend the rc3/7/,rs3/7 to timbre match.Hey,you still got more fun/debt to look forward to.

JR,I saw the BOC,it was so good I bought the dvd.I highly recommend it,must have for a BOC fan,its all good and the sound quality is great.

Prodj,you probably know as well as any of us the rsw15 can't do justice to pipes.That being said, I'm jammin REO speedwagon live DVD-A and the 15 is fantastic.I have quite a variety of dvd-a and the 15 never fails to impress me or anyone I know.For rock and most all music this sub kicks unlike several I auditioned could not.Enjoy that 15,the big velo hgs18 was the only thing I liked better because it does HT/and Music both very well,kinda expensive.I settled on the most musical sub at my price(much less than msrp),and feel every note as I type.

Invid,pick up any of the first Rush releases,you may be a fan,be warned,its heavy.This will give you a Rush.
