  1. I have a Kenwood KR 7050 and it's got the best receiver in it I've ever owned. I get 60 miles with a T wire and 3/4 on the meter. It has a feature that allows for limiting freq to the width you are listening to.
  2. What a Great era when audio was an Art in every way !
  3. Ehh....not gonna happen but...who knows. Still worth a mention.
  4. Yeah...new, it's been a good 10 years.
  5. So...is it necessary to be a scientist, engineer, or divine intervention to get a rsw15 amp repaired ?? If ANYONE has any info that's current on repairing one please post. I'm bout to hook up a Parasound 2125v2 (400x1 Parasound watts) and set the limit switch on it at 20hz, plug in a sub cable, trigger and move on. It would be nice to have the 15 self contained though.....
  6. 200 bucks was a steal, but fair on 62II's. You can't get decent books for that. $400 is what I paid for a pair of 82lIs, and sold them for the same a year later, both sets from Frys. As a bonus one guy said how about the DCM KX12's I had in my garage ? I said eh...not looking to sell. He said here's $400 for those instead of 82's, I said ok, you must really like em'. he did.
  7. Good vinyl sounds pretty good to me compared to just about any media. I do have a few old albums that are almost flawless. I love to play some every now and again, special sound to me.
  8. Cables do make a difference. They can degrade the signal if not performing as required........They cannot make anything sound better....This may have been mentioned , if so sorry...
  9. Very sad, my condolences to the family and wishes for a recovery. We all should live the life we want, it comes with consequences for us all. They must be weighed against ones responsibilities and commitments.
  10. The 5's and my old Kenwood kr-7050 are my preference over TOTL HK and 30's for just kickin back and listening to some blues. I never knew their bass chops till I hooked em' to vintage power.
  11. I have to pass completely now. My wife of 45 years looks better than current Ginger. Which....I'm surprised she is still kickin' (Ginger that is) Long may she run.....
  12. Ha...no by B. O'reilly, sorry ..couldn't resist.
  13. Ginger when I'm young and Mary Ann when I'm old, she held up better !
  14. That certainly should be a big improvement, nice rug. Behind seating if there is a wall is another spot I found sometimes needs absorption on walls. Those albums/media are help too.
  15. Just a pic or two of my ss Sherwood S-7910 1976
  16. Ahh...kinda surprised this forum with some great speakers/gear has SO little info on great Sherwood receivers. I still want to answer this question for future inquiries. The s7910 and 9910 are outstanding in construction and sound. I have top of the line HK, Anthem, Classic Pioneer,Sansui, Kenwood, Marantz, Onkyo others of the 70's. The 7910 competes EASILY with any of them and not bested by any of them, but does best some. One of the better sounding and powerful sounding units I have heard from the golden era. If you get a chance to hear/buy one, you may get a surprise. I sure got nothing to gain, just want to give a heads up to anyone interested in the future.
  17. How iz it it YOU know what people are thinking ?? 3d time you falsely accused me of something. I was here about 20 years all good, but now I'm a racist, conspiracy or whatever YOU decide. The active ingredient maybe is YOU and YOUR personal bias ???.
  18. I have not read the whole thing but.....Is this an either or ? I use both, stream and FM at home. Sometimes I even listen to FM seriously for a little while. I use several different old 70's era radios. I exchange speakers and radios every few weeks for a change of pace, pretty interesting too. I use a small classic T antenna, between 20 and 40 miles away usually. I have a better antenna I'm gonna set up, outdoor rotating cheap dealeo. I get several stations pretty well 3 or 4 on meter, classic rock. I will admit it's maybe 15% of my listening, sometimes more or less. For absolute critical listening, no. For general music or even something more it's still alive, maybe life support but still.....There are internet, free /ad free classic rock stations that sound very good, maybe even bass heavy which I like. If you have high speed try Handcrafted Radio or Radio Shadow Deep Tracks, really serious classic rock that was too good for FM.
