  1. I use the Forte IIIs in almost nearfield. Works great for me.
  2. I just got the Evo 200 integrated and my jaw is still on the floor. I was not a tube guy at all, but OMG this sounds good. Using the stock tubes now...are you telling me it gets better than this? Geez... Speakers are Forte 3s.
  3. Very good value in that amp. Are you sure it can run kt-150?
  4. I agonized over this a lot. I had to get a new amp for my Forte 3 and Naim was one of the options. The various responses on this topic were that it is not a particular happy pairing, but I did not hear it for myself, I couldn't get one in for demo. I owned until now a NuPrime IDA-8 (great amp, loved it with the Forte 3, but it digitizes the analog input and my OCD was not OK with it), Musical Paradise MP301 MK3 (inexpensive low power tube SET, very good value). I got now a PrimaLuna EVO 200 integrated and it is just another level, honestly it is just no comparison, the realism, dynamics, bass, everything blows my mind. I was not a tube guy, but oh boy, if you think about Klipsch Forte 3 and don't have a hard reason to not consider tubes, do yourself a favour and hear them with a PrimaLuna.
  5. I use a Nuprime IDA-8 with my Forte 3. Class AD, small, powerful, all the inputs you need, efficient, sounds phenomenal. Well below your budget
  6. I also use a class D amp with Forte 3. NuPrime IDA 8, actually a class AD. Sounds absolutely magnificent. I heard tubes in all kind of setups and was never impressed, didn’t really get what the fuss is about. Those glowing tubes sure give a warm and fuzzy feeling, but sound wise...hmmm...
  7. I will be using this to protect the passive radiators as a permanent solution. https://qcomponents.ca/McBride-WG15.html I saw in the Forte III thread that another member did the same. It's mostly to prevent my cat from sinking its claws in the driver.
