  1. This unit is still available if anyone is interested in a very nice hybrid unit that has been highly modified.
  2. This setup is still available. This is perfect for anyone nervous about trying tubes and having to worry about Biasing. This unit self-biases and all you need to do is put in your two tubes. I have been experimenting with Class A builds from Nelson Pass over the last 2 years and have not been using my tube equipment much.
  3. The woofers and tweeters are still available. I never got around to posting the items to ebay.
  4. Sorry for the long wait responding to this. I DO have one I have been using with my Clearaudio turntable, but may consider selling it to fund a few other projects since the turntable has not been getting much use lately.
  5. The inductors have sold. I’m planning to post the woofers and tweeters to eBay this weekend but would prefer to work a deal here if someone is interested.
  6. Hey Mike. Yes the mini is a very cool amp for the size and price. To me, it sounds a lot like the F5 but 1/4 the power. With efficient speakers it doesn’t matter. A couple of my favorites I’ve built are the Aleph J (dual mono) which I’m experiencing with now, the F4 as monoblocks, and the Amp Camps but with an upgraded power supply similar to the larger pass amps. I also like the M2x but it was a bit too warm on my Harbeth but sounds awesome on Klipsch.
  7. I have decided to sell my custom Elekit gear that I built a couple years ago. The setup sounds amazing but it is overkill for my office and I have been rotating in Pass solid state amps I build so these don't get much use. I have decided to move on from tubes. I purchased both kits from DIYAudio and both include the upgrades listed on the website right now (Takman resistors, Lundahl transformers, plus I added in Mundorf M-cap capacitors and upgraded the opamps in the phono). I also did not like how the two pieces did not match, so I had them professionally powder coated Satin black so both pieces match. What you will receive: - Elekit 8800 with upgrades and Mullard CV4024 - Elekit 8500 with upgrades and Mullard CV4024 - Extra stickers for the 8500 - Manuals for both include the build manuals - will not be including power cables - Extra tubes include: - Power Tubes of TAD 6l6WGC-STR, Svetlana EL34, Tung Sol KT66, Gold Lion KT77, and Tung Sol KT150 - Extra Driver/Signal 12at7s (tough to read all the exact info on the tubes) - Pair of GE, Pair of Tung Sols, Pair of RCA, and 2 pairs of Electroharmonix The 8500 preamp can also use 12au7 The 8800 can use a WIDE range of tubes from 6v6 all the way up to KT150. Check out the list on DiyAudio I think I paid over $3000 for everything including the tubes. I am asking $2500 and I will cover shipping to anywhere in the continental US.
  8. I have some parts from two pairs of Heresy 1s that have the E-Networks. Great for anyone wanting to build their own cabinets and get most of the parts for Heresy’s or fix their Heresy I’s. - Four K77 tweeters (all 100% working) - one pair remaining - Four K22 woofers (all 100% working) - SOLD - Two original 2.5 mh inductors from the E network (pulled working) - SOLD
  9. The last large amp is no longer available. I am stripping it for parts to build a different pair of monoblocks. all amps have SOLD or no longer available
  10. Bump on a VERY good tube preamp. I just built my own Pass clone with balanced in/outs and no longer need this one.
  11. Oak Amp has SOLD. The only left over amp is the large black amp with two Amp Camp Amps built into one chassis as monoblocks. I do also have an Amp Camp Mini for sale in another thread.
  12. Nice looking amps… upgrades to the schematic and all conversation about them can be found here: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/aca-amp-with-premium-parts.328357/ page 4
  13. Two amps left for sale. The listing has been updated to reflect those.
  14. Bump. This amp is still available with the external PSU or the original 24V switching PSU.
  15. Two of these have been sold. I have one left!
  16. Thanks! Just saw this message. this amp is SOLD. No longer available.
  17. You will see the biggest improvement come from the power supply. The mods are easier to do and can be done on the cheap.
  18. I just looked at this transformer and the ideal recommended VA is 180 minimum. It looks like the transformer is only 3.64A and they recommend at least 4A to handle the 1.5A used by each board. You always want headroom. I have built a few external power supplies for the amp camps in stock chassis and I use Antek's 200VA transformer at 5A with a CapMX supply with CRC in front of it. I have found even more successes with lower noise floor with a Capacitor, CHOKE, Capacitor orientation and I thought that sounded amazing. If you are interested in a custom PSU build I might have everything needed to build one. But, you would have to re-wire your amp camp power input so you can run them dual mono. This is absolutely the best way to do it and get a very good sound. My current chassis I have on hand is black. Also, have you completed the mods from Tungstenaudio on your amps?
  19. Jim, See below from AMB regarding the boards The maximum current limit is determined by the rating of the power transformer, the rectifier diodes (the specified MUR820 devices are rated at 8A), and the AC line fuse. The transformers in both chassis are only 2.5A. I would have to swap them out with the AS-2220, but unfortunately they would not fit in these smaller Hammond chassis. I was mainly using these to power preamps, phonos, or dacs.
