However, there's one more element. I learned about Four States Weather from Harold Taft, the worlds first TV weatherman who went on the air in 1949 (the year YFSR was born) and continued on Fort Worth Channel 5 for half a century. When computers came into being, he'd say "Here's what the computers have to say..." and, after that, he'd say "Now, here's whats REALLY going to happen!" He'd then use an outdoor camera to explain the cloud formations and what they meant. He had a 3 day forecast, but the 5 day was an "outlook" because he didn't believe it possible to accurately forecast 5 days. Here's to you, Harold!
