  1. I would have to agree with this. I have the below package https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071GLT6BV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_PoagEbK7Q2JFZ The system seems to be lacking clarity at certain times and find the dialogues to be muffled. I fear to push the system to limits and hover the volume at around -50. I still love the system and always try to get the best out of it by finding good content to play on it.
  2. But since they are doing it anyways, they better do it right with better quality parts. The subs sound so good, atleast sounded better than SVS ones.
  3. Indeed they sound great but without longevity, what's the point. I have dual R-112 SW. Not sure how long they will last
  4. Woah! there you go! So the SPL150s are no better either?
  5. What's the model# SVS PB2000? just kiddin.. If it's R-115 SW, and under warranty, please have it sent to Klipsch and get it replaced with SPL 150. Thank you
  6. Oh God! Yet another R-112 issue. I own two of those. Waiting for the day when my luck runs out.
  7. If your sub is still on warranty, please have it replaced by Klipsch at the earliest. They should replace it with the newer model SPL 120. Its a well known issue looks like with R-112SW eventually failing with these kind of symptoms. Apparently the issue has been linked to poor electronics inside(black goo of death). I had raised a query with Klipsch earlier since I have two of these, and they said they have fixed the issues. Not sure how far that's true as I continue to see people complaining about these rampant failures with R-112SW. I am living in fear to see the eventual death of my dual R-112SW. May the (low frequency) force be with me.
  8. Agreed with the awful finish the new SPL series subs have. Precisely the reason I picked up another R-112SW. Not to forget the razor sharp edges of the SPLs.
  9. How long has it been since you got the R-112SW ?
  10. I had raised a support request with Klipsch and got a reply yesterday. They stated all is well with the current batches of R-112SW. They did see widespread issue with the initial batches and they took corrective measure and fixed the successive batches.

  12. This is possibly the best review I have come across so far for R-112SW https://helptochoose.com/compare-subwoofers/r-112sw
  13. I have had the R-112SW for little more than a year now and works fine. I just added another one since its on sale right now. Hoping they last long. I really treat them well and stay within limits Sometimes I do touch the amp panel and check the temperature, I don't find them hot at all and nothing that should melt the glue inside (Black goo of death)
  14. Thanks a lot Brendon for the feedback!
