  1. Anyone here ever build a larger midrange horn made from wood for the k-55-v?
  2. Does anyone know what the proper/industry name is for the T2A autoformer and where to buy it?

Sorry, I meant for the lot.

Would you take $300 shipped to Niagara Falls Canada?
  5. Single bridged channel (one amp for left, one amp for right). Damnnnnnnn shame you sold Jubilees and McIntosh gear.
  6. I would try to have at least 200wpc to run them properly. I run mine with my Bryston 4B amps in bridged mono (800wpc) at sustained extreme volumes and they stay pretty damn clean.
  7. Could have been the guy, I am not sure. He was trying to sell them for $160
  8. I was thinking about cutting a square hole in the k402 and inserting a tweeter
  9. Hi all, I recently acquired a pair of K-55-V drivers for $100 and was wondering what options (besides the k400/401) I have for horns. 1. stick with k400/401 (anyone have some for sale) 2. This horn from (abc) or (xyz) is actually better, cheaper, etc. 3. What happens if the k-55-v is mated to a k402 horn? thank you in advance.
  10. I run two Bryston 4B Pro on my Cornwalls (800wpc). I have also run the setup with a Carver PM2.0t (375wpc). @RadBlue runs an Emotiva XPA-2 (300wpc) on his LaScala’s and they sounded great. probably not what you would normally hear, just wanted to detail my experiences and would recommend either.
  11. @HPower thank you for the offer, definitely wouldn’t mind hearing the Lascalas and whatever else you happen to have set up. Do week days or weekends happen to work for you? I am in Niagara Falls so you’re about 2 hours from me. I don’t know if you’re able to DM on this forum or not but you could email me at class_audio@hotmail.com
  12. Im not entirely sure, going to lug the old Marantz over from my parents to see if its maybe a preamplifier issue I may be having because the subwoofer hits nicely, just nothing else. After that I may bring over the old read loaded horns but literally have like 5 pairs of huge speakers in the basement right now hahahaha.
  13. Hey man, thats super generous of you, thank you for offering. I will keep it in mind if I am able to ever make it down there. Looking for something in the 2 hour driving range.
  14. Anyone near Niagara Falls, Buffalo, Toronto willing to audition some genuine or cloned Jubilees for me in the next month or so?
  15. my setup was posted above. 36’ long by 17’ wide by 7.5’ tall basement room. Closed doors. Speakers and gear set up on short wall (17’).
  16. Is the Jubilee an actual Klipsch product or a DIY? Do you happen to live near me (Niagara Falls Canada)
  17. Wow Chris thanks for this info, I will research in the next bit
  18. I understand what you’re saying but I feel like the bass is an order of magnitude off from what it should be Thank you for the information!! Could you recommend an affordable digital console mixer?
  19. Thanks. Its the best I can do for now. On the quest for a better pre amp but tone controls are mandatory
  20. Can someone talk to me about La Scala Klipschorn and Jubilee performance. I have the following three pairs of speakers (RF5s, RF7s, CP1 (Cornwalls) and neither have impressed me in the bass department. I feel like each one is probably off by about 6db of what they should be to be flat with the mids/highs. I quite like the mids and highs on all of them, the detail and realness. I dont find them bright, fatiguing, or shrill but the bass just doesnt match. My current setup: Yamaha SACD player bluetooth music player Panamax power conditioner AMC 3150a integrated amp (used as pre) 2x Bryston 4B used in bridged mono Audio Technica record player Klipsch RF7 mk1 or CP1 used in stereo Klipsch R115SW sub 17’ x 36’ room I grew up with a pair of rear loaded horn speakers with 10” woofers on a Marantz 2235b and they blow any of my Klipsch’s out of water in the bass department and pounded your chest. Could I expect the same from Lascalas or Khorns? I was considering building Jubilee bins but can’t find what would be the suitable 12” driver(s) to use. Thanks
  21. not entirely sure yet. The Cornwalls sound more live/realistic but the RF7s may have slightly fuller bass, and an airy’er/more detailed mids/highs. My room must be a bass killer because the RF7s and Cornwalls did not impress me in that department. But my sub sounds great. Wondering if I have a preamp issue at this point.
