  1. Wow! Great looking speakers at a bargain price. These shouldn’t last long.
  2. PM sent. I’m interested if OP or Jimbo does not take them.
  3. I bought a pair of Cornwall 1s with the same issue. They were in a garage and the bottom ports were very inviting to mice. The panels in your pic should work good. I used an acoustical wool rug pad attached with staples with good results.
  4. I bought a pair of these new in the late 80s. They were my first pair of Klipsh. I regret the day I sold them. They will not disappoint the new owner as the sound is jaw dropping. Great price for a speaker that rarely shows up for sale. They would be mine if they were closer.
  5. Whenever I am considering the purchase of preowned equipment, I always insist upon seeing the receipts for annual cleaning. If the seller can not produce the receipts, I will either decline or adjust my offer accordingly,
  6. Excellent advise, all of it!
  7. Thanks for the input pcbiz. I’ve been searching for a pair of LSBR in my area at a realistic price. There is another pair currently on eBay that are located in Annapolis. They are about the same price as these but they have type AA crossover and K 55 mids. They look to be in a little better shape, $1300 is about what I was thinking for these but it’s so far from the asking price, I didn’t want to offend the seller. I’ll give it some time and see if he drops the price. In the meantime I’ll keep looking
  8. I’m reasonably close to these but the price was so high that I didn’t bother to look or make an offer. What would be a fair price to pay for these?
  9. Nice of you to offer these items. Hope someone will make good use of them.
  10. Apparently there is no pricing. I guess you call the seller and make an offer, then the seller will get back to you eventually.
  11. Has anyone seen any pictures of any of these speakers yet?
  12. I’m no longer looking for a pie slice badge. Thanks Chris for your kind offer and generosity!
  13. Looking to buy a single original plastic pie slice badge (no holes) in at least comparable condition to the one pictured.1 3/4” wide X 1 1/2” Tall. Thanks
  14. This seller is obviously several years ahead on his starting bid and even further on his buy it now. However, I agree that “eventually “ seems to coming faster than we imagined.
  15. $3000 for Cornwalls that had the backs removed is outrageous!
  16. My condolences to Mrs. Payne and family. I will miss Sancho’s posts.
  17. Thank you all for the information. I had read only a couple favorable reviews of these as a drop in replacement for a K22 in Heresys. At only about $72 each from PE, I gave them a try. No, I did not add a port (but not ruling that out), or use any equipment other than my ears to test them. I installed one at a time and did an A/B comparison and I noticed an improvement across the spectrum. I’m reluctant to recommend, as sonic tastes are subjective, but I found them to be a noticeable improvement for little money.
  18. Sorry, text didn't get included. I recently replaced K22s with Dayton PA310-8 in a pair of Heresys. Although the appearance is not period correct, to my ears they are an improvement over the K22s in bottom end. Has anyone else used these? What are your thoughts?
  19. Thanks Dave, I’ll continue with my hunt. Heritage speakers rarely show up for sale on Mayland’s Eastern shore regardless of price. Probably just as well, I’d run out of room (or money)😀.
  20. Wow,If only I could purchase them in my area for these prices! Hmm, I’ll take three pairs of LaScalas, two pairs of Cornwalls, and a few pairs of Heresys.

Thanks PED, I understand your response. The value of Klipsh speakers varies considerably depending on location. If your willing to ship them, you will most likely get a higher price from a broader audience. However, I agree that a local, in person sale, without the hassles of shipping is preferable. Good luck with your local sale. BTW, the average shipping cost I’ve paid for my last few pairs of Heresy’s has been about $150.
