  1. I have a new basement project starting in the new year. Our current surround setups in the house are based on the Bose 700 soundbar systems. They sound very good, but don't support Atmos. Our space in the basement is VERY small, but enough for a smaller couch, 75-inch TV and a way for me to insert some fun home theater sound. It's also doubling as a play area for kids. My immediate thought was to look at Acoustimass, but the mere thought of using their speaker wire was a non-starter. I know the hate around Bose, but we've had luck with it in our home. Keeping the small speaker goal in mind, I picked up the Home Theater Pack from Costco and plan to pair it with a Pioneer-LX503. I had planned to add Atmos speakers and was eyeing the Sony Atmos speakers. The price on the Klipsch Home Theater set dropped an additional $10 today, I opted for a second home theater kit. My thinking is that I'll use the 4 satellites for my height speakers and I'll have a second sub - all for $380. That puts my total speaker cost at around $800 for the two Klipsch Home Theater sets. These also appear to be wife friendly. The framing isn't built out, so the plan is to put heights at the front of the listening area and another pair in the rear, but flanking the seating area. Again this is a small area, so rather than have them hanging in the middle of the ceiling. While these may not be the most powerful speakers, I'm hoping that by adding multiple speakers, I'll be reward with immersion at all volumes and the second woofer will make up for the smaller 8-inch size.
