  1. ....than I discovered Randy Crawford´s debut Album " Now we may begin " from 1980 , WEA Brothers Record Label. This album contains her first hit , the awesome ballade " one day I´ll fly away ".
  2. Think so too. The watercastle and the little fortress in our local envirement and forrests are only famous in our local commuinity . They didn´t play a big roll in the history. It´s always nice to have some treasures like this arround the area you´ll life in. Keeps the longlasting traditional history alive.
  3. HEY all .....my TT is in operation since a couple minutes, haven´t used him for a couple of weeks. It´s a mild sunny sunday afternoon here in germany . The Mirco Seiki sounds a little bit frozen after such a long time, think it needs two or three records to warm up, however this soul music carrys me into a good mood right now....... Miss Randy Crawford with her sec. Production " Secret Combination " from 1981 WEA Record Label
  4. Well @Shiva, your wish is my command ....all what you see on the following pics is at least in a distance less than a mile from my house. Our lake called See Kemnade A Fortress from the 12th. century Our Watercastle , " Watercastle Kemnade " and a view over the Valley "Kemnade"
  5. It´s a couple of weeks ago that I used my TT , using more digital sources because of the burn in peroid from the new tubes from my tube mono amps. Guy´s ...I tell you ....That´s an never ending musical and dreamlike audiophile journey once I switch on the power buttoms. But it´s time to start my TT Sessions again, got enough records that I haven´t listen to for a very long time. So ..mates ....
  6. Beat you @Shiva...shoot is from my sister. She sent a couple of days ago ...so beautiful ...wouldn´t you agree
  7. Morning all ! Been a while since I was here . Still late winter here in germany with some early spring temperature peak risings which are gone allready again. Days become longer . Sometimes its the right choice to switch of all multimedial devices and take a long rest from our second virtual live. That´s what I did . Spend a lot of time with travelling and sight seeing in our neighborhood cities and landscapes. So much to discover ....still ....So gents , gonn´a see you somewhere........
  8. OH YEAH @mustang_flht MATERIAL WERE GREAT !!!! Later they produced Electro Industrial Funk like this one
  9. Indeed ...The Chris Hinze Combination is a brilliant discovery .....even this record is as you mentioned above.
  10. Well done Andre´ , one of the best affordable brands , Superior natural Soundquality, clear like a violine with the musical flow from a crystall clear mountain stream

  18. Would be nice . Gonn´a do it ...need some inspiration for my record collection.
  19. You hit the nail on the head @Dave1291. What a musical journey with the refurbished tube mono amps. These have never sounded so fantastic. Tested some new tubes and used ECC 88 from Siemens in Munich and 5814A from Philips USA; 829B Tetrode from RCA ,GEZ 34 rectifier from Siemens and 12BH7A from "EI" former Yugoslavia, I also still have to test here. Since I had to take a longer community break to listen to me with the new tubes. Since we had a lot of snow, it all fit together. Now the spring comes back, we had already 68 Fahrenheit in the last few days, we spend much time outside......
  20. The Teac X 300 R is a autoreverse ( bi -directional ) machine as well as the Pioneer 707
  21. Forgot a third option, the Poineer 707, but it´s a lovers machine and very rare to get, so if available this one won´t be cheap.
  22. @rockhound I´m still a R2R Lover and owned many since my age of 12 years. The most beautiful and best sounding machine is still in use. It´s a Tandberg TD 20 A. As your son is driving 7-1/2 inch tapes and not 10,43 inch with NAB Adaptar tapes I would like to give you two recommondations based on my own experience in my youth. There is the Philips NA 4506 which is a exciting peace of high tec R2R for 7-1/2 and the TEAC X 300 R ( looks similar to models from AKAI ) Of course I would buy them sec. hand fully revised only.
  23. @MeloManiac Hi Ivan ....just a quick chimm in to clearify some basics....Your TT is limited for better pick ups than a Ortofon 2MBlue or the OM 20. The tonearm is not designed to carry heavier pick ups than 7 gramms. Of course the are MC´s in this weight class available , but even entry class only. So you better keep your eye on a real MM phono pre like a Graham Slee GramAmp2 for good 200 € ( see details in the link, scroll down ) . Than upgrate your TT with the Ortofon 2M Blue like you attended to do it a couple of weeks ago before you bought the CX 300 Tube amp. I think this is the only and real listenable upgrate with you new tubeamp.
