  1. Hopefully one of you knowledgeable Klipsch lovers is able to help me out with the following problems: As it is nearly impossible to find 2nd hand Cornwalls in Europe i decided to take a different route when I saw a german guy offered about all necessary parts on E-bay. Get the spare parts and make a new cabinet of MDF. Q1: My question relates to the stuff offered by this german guy and another offer on US E-Bay. Supposedly both gentlemen offer networks for Cornwall I, but THEY LOOK DIFFERENT! Which one is the one to go for? (On the attached image both networks are shown) Q2: The original Tweeter is supposed to be K77M, but someone offers K79 tweeters, claiming they are even better. Could they be incorporated in a speaker that for the rest has all original Cornwall I parts? Q3: I've checked all posts on this board but couldn't find any info on the actual construction of the box. It's a little complicated to guess how ít's done from just the outside measures! (I do own a pair of Heresy I, so if the construction is basically similar i guess that will do) I know this is a truckload of questions and it would me highly appreciated if someone finds the time to solve at least one problem!
  2. Good day Cornwalled! Just bumped into your message on the Klipsch bulletin Board, and i may have a rather shocking proposal to make. (Too bad you have to get rid of these remarkable classics! But a very nice gesture to offer first to board members!) All Klipsch products are extremely hard to get by in the Olde Worlde - even more so the older models - currently I own a pair of Heresy I's but have been searching for eternity for a pair of Cornwalls; they show up maybe once a year on German E-Bay and go for outrageous prices. Lately some german guy offered Cornwall empty cabinets, which is promising in itself but challenges me with a new problem: how to fill 'em up! i guess you see where this is heading: i wondered if you are willing to commit the sacrilage of taking the speakers and network apart and sell them seperately. I'm willing to pay the full price you asked, so you can sell the apparently not-so-perfect cabinets seperately. If you don't feel like mailing stuff overseas i can even provide you with a friends adress who lives in the US. I hope this pretty indecent proposal didn't shock you too much and of course am hoping for a positive reply! Sincerely, Jan Sennema, Amsterdam, Olde Worlde
  3. Thanks for your fast reply! I can't believe I'm actually being answered by a Klipsch builder!! I just added some pictures, hopefully they're visible for a diagnosis! As far as I can tell the E has something to do with the type of veneer.
  4. I got the chance of buying a pair of Cornwall E type, I've checked all the posts here on the forum but couldn't find any info on this issue. Any of you knowledgeable gentlefolks know what the E stands for? The guy offering his CW's claims they're about 25 years old (and he put them on WHEELS: good idea??)Would appreciate any comment!
