  1. No wait, I would be really upset if you spent money to rent this! I caught it on HBO, do you have that? I'll look for Gerry. Tripod, you have a deal. I will rent "Alexander" this weekend. Forgive me if i am wrong, but isn't Alexander an action movie about Alexander The Great? You see, even though the movie is probably three hours long, i am thinking there are some pretty good fight scenes with some great Sound Effects.[]
  2. I'll check out Gerry if you check out Alexander. Before you agree, please realize that Alexander is 3 hours.
  3. Alexander Absolutely horrible in every regard. As much as I wanted to stop watching, I kept going, desperate to find some redeeming quality for the film. I did not. Ancient greeks speaking in Irish, Scottish and Russian accents. A story that was impossible to follow and lacked any compelling reason to do so. Disjointed scenes. Wacky transitions between scenes like it was made by somebody playing around with the editing features on their new camcorder. The entire thing was a trainwreck.
  4. Do the posts have jumpers? Those look like metal ribbons connecting the posts to one another. If they do, you should connect to the left hand red & black posts or the right hand posts. Your current arrangement of outer posts sounds incorrect to me based on your description.
  5. Check out this site for remotes. Most of their RF units include IR flashers for exactly what you want to do. http://www.surfremotecontrol.com/ Click on the Hot Buys link in the top left corner and you'll see two that might work for you. The MX-600 for $160 and the MX-800 for $270.
  6. Anyone else have one of these? I recently had one installed. The unit itself was only $40 from Home Depot, and it was installed at the breaker box. I still have units for my computer and HT, but like the extra security of knowing the house is covered at the source.

    SF2

Enjoy! I've had my SF2's for three years and love them.
  8. Read back over the thread, and follow some of the links, and you'll see that these guys are spending a lot more than $60 and buying a lot more than a power strip. I'm not sure that I agree with the need for power conditioning in the first place (in most typical applications). But if someone's going to drop $300+ on a component, I don't blame them for obsessing a bit about it. ---------------- On 7/19/2005 11:27:59 PM toddvj wrote: I skipped through a lot of this thread. I just have to ask...Obsess much? How do you decide what to wear in the morning? You're talking about a $60 power strip for crying out loud. ----------------

    RF-3II

Searches are for suckers. How are all of the heavy hitters here going to maintain their high post numbers if they don't get asked the same questions every couple of weeks? Just having some fun, the search feature is very useful and recommended. ---------------- On 7/22/2005 3:36:38 AM Kyler Cavers wrote: all I'm saying is use the search up top, sure helped me out alot.. ----------------

There's nothing wrong with people asking questions, that's what makes a place like this so helpful.
  11. Can you give a general price that you were looking for? I'm interested (and could drive to pick them up) but I don't want to offend you with a silly offer if they're out of my range.
