  1. Don’t think these are Laura’s. The last of her stuff is new Oak Belles and a set of H2s that was missing a single woofer.
  2. @Selector Z Jeff is right to tell you to check the wiring to see precisely what’s up. One thing to look for is a pass through to a bass unit. Lots of 201s get stuck on a pole over the top of a SW-115.
  3. @jeffrAs it would happen, I just got a set of KP-450s and was curious about how to power them up. I have the XLRs connected, so HF and LF are set to go. Now the question is, which bin gets connected to the AMP?
  4. Mookie… The mods you made seem carefully considered. Any thoughts about where to start and about which were the most noticeable improvements? Your buyer is a lucky dude…
  5. Note that these speakers are physically in Charlottesville, VA. Two plus hours West South West of DC. At the asking price, they may be there for a while.
  6. Nice speakers. There was an orphan that was a close match, too. Walnut units are sold now, but she has a pair of unused Belles in oak as well as oak Heresy IIs that also appear mint/unused.
  7. Dave… What L-Pad do you recommend for this application?
  8. @chassell. Any update on this? I was in the running for these, too. Curious how it worked out…
  9. Pretty sure this is an old ad. The speakers with these serial numbers now have SMAHL lenses and are on the work list to become Claude J Super Heresy 2.0s.
  10. It’s still showing as active and he’s answering messages. is this legit?
  11. Geoff. Thanks for one of the best follow-up posts I’ve ever seen. The rest of the story is priceless.
  12. Any update on this project? Anything you would do differently now?

They were advertised as being in fair condition cosmetically, but good shape sonically. Interesting cabinet geometry, too. I gave them some thought because $800 seemed a real bargain, but I’m out of room and have too many unfinished projects at the moment.
  14. What are your impressions of these speakers? Any comparisons so similar Klipsch would be helpful.
  15. Dave, Handles and pole mounts would be nice if you have them. I’ll PM for details. Thanks, James
  16. I’m trying to sort out bass port positioning between asymmetric corner placement and centered. I’m using a Kappalite woofer, rather than the deeper profile K-42, so there’s no issue with clearance between the woofer frame and the rear panel.
  17. I saw these in person on Wednesday and had the chance to listen to them as well as to listen to his upgraded Heresies. The Chorus IIs look good and sound great. Next owner should be very happy with these speakers.
  18. Update: Thanks to WCD for the contact info above... Dave doesn't have any 4 ohm Kappalite 15s... He does have a killer deal on some custom built 12 inch 8 ohm Deltalite IIs. Those could be a candidate for a Heresy upgrade, but I'd need to check the sensitivity. Fortunately, Cameron did have one 4 ohm Kappalite. My other one is on the way here from e-Bay. Cameron was thankful for the referral. Seems like a great guy to deal with, too.
