  3. on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5773262493&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1 i am the seller
  4. alnico is a type of magnet. made up of aluminum, nickel, and cobalt. though it wasn't a consideration back then, those types of magnets are great for shielding.
  5. that harmon should work nicely. as long as that hk unit has analog outputs your amp choices are endless for future upgrades.
  6. although the pvc is a great idea i won't have much time to do it and it will cost me a bit more money. i will be doing this myself and will probably only have one day to complete the wiring of anything in the house i want extra before the drywall crew comes in. a builder is doing the house and they are being kind by letting me do this. they will not do it at all as they don't do custom work. next question how would a short run of rg-6 be if i used it for a component conection in the ajoining room. like 3 cables 10" long.
  7. i am going to be running some in wall wire and such in my new house as its being built. what kind of signal wire should i use for subwoofer cabling. would rg-6 cable be ok since its cheap and i am already buying lots of it anyway.
  8. there should be 3 sets of input terminals. a red/black for all three drivers. you can hook them up as you wish, you can tri-amp by running three sets of wires, one to each driver. this is assuming you have 6 amplifier channels. you can also strap together the tweeter and midhorn terminals together and run those to an amp channel. then you would only need 4 amp channels to do it. does this make any sense?
  9. I have an Adcom GTP-500II 2ch. preamp/tuner i would like to get rid of. It looks great and performs excellent. I do have the remote wich will be included. The only thing wrong with this piece is the volume down on the remote makes it go up, and the volume up doesn't do anything. all other functions perform flawlessly. if you don't use a remote than you would never know the difference. i am asking $165 shipped anywhere in the united states. please email me at jlgsxr@localnet.com if your interested.
  10. i don't know what sport it was invented for but i can say that its extremely popular for road racing. when your trapped in a one piece leather suit in 100deg. weather you sweat ALOT!
