With PecanPi you have two options: Streamer USB DAC The USB DAC is a good option if you have a dedicated computer or steamer (with USB output) already. For example if you have a Bluesound Node 2i you can bypass its internal DAC which is known to have poor performance. The Streamer is a networked device. It connects to your network and you control it from your phone/tablet/computer. It can play files from your NAS and USB storage deivces. It can also play internet radio, and work with streaming services like Tidal or Qobuz. The steamer can also act as a DLNA/UPnP and AirPlay rendered. Both devices have an integrated class AB headphone amplifier

They are 150Wrms (300Wpeak). There are no "chips", it is my own custom design no Hypex, Ncore, ICE, or any other off the shelf class d chips. The amps use Gallium Nitride (GaN) transistor. Other amps with this technology cost way more. I believe the price is very competitive for the level of performance and power that the amps offer.
