Someone used to sell a precut version of this mat. I forgot what it was called now. I made a mistake and let one of my favorite records on for too long and it was ruined. It fused into the record and I was never able to clean it. In my opinion, any amount of time a record spends on this material is harmful to the record. Kudret

Ki, I had the same idea, to keep the bass bins in the corner and move the mid horn towards the middle. Unfortunately, I do not have my Altec horns yet to try, but I am very interested to know what you think after yo have a chance to try it, of course. Kudret

CalBlacksmith, Best of luck with your surgery and recovery. My PSA was 4.5 back in February and 3 out of 8 biopsies came positive. I had a RP on April 30 and still recovering. This was a total shock to me at the age of 44 and I had some difficult time getting through this. On the positive side, my PSA 8 weeks after the surgery came out as "undetectable". Keep your spirits up. Kudret

My objective was to follow in Q-Man's footsteps and get a pair of 311-90 and 290-16K. Realizing that this might take a while, will 290E also work? What's the difference between 290-K, L and E? Kudret

I have a couple of Ortofon SL15E very low output MC cartridges (output is 0.015 mV with internal impedance of 2.5 ohms.) I was looking for some step-up transformers and I was recommended Hashimoto HM-3 transformers. HM-3 specs are 3O,12O primary impedance with 40,20 step-up ratio (32dB,26dB). I was wondering if anyone is familiar with these transformers, and if they are a good match with SL15E ? Kudret
