  1. Recently picked up a pair of unused Klipsch RB-61 II's. I first tested them with a Crown XLS402 Power Amp. Yes, I know the amp is an awful choice for these speakers, I just happened to have it nearby... and yes the speakers did not sound so good. ha. Then, I managed to buy an old Harman Kardon 430 and hook it up. Unreal how good this combo sounds! This makes me feel a little better - I just sold my 1989 Klipschorns last week
  2. btw, I have a 2 year old which rules out anywhere he can reach
  3. Unfortunately no. I think I will try small shelves and get pads to angled them downwards.
  4. I could put them on two small shelves separately. Although they will be quite high (above fireplace mantle) and have to be angled downward.
  5. Thanks for the heads up on Pinpoint! I've read that the RB-61II's do not have bottom threaded inserts, unfortunately. I hate the idea of screwing anything into new speakers.
  6. I just picked up a pair of RB-61II. I need to mount these on the wall. Can someone point me in the direction of the best wall mount brackets? Since the speakers will be angled downwards, do I need to attach the speakers to the wall mounts with screws? Is it better to have hidden wall mounts and screw into the back of the speaker instead of the bottom? Thanks in advance! :)
