  1. All - I have some spare parts that I want to clear out. Please take a look and let me know. Prices are OBO. Thanks K77M - $130 pr (SOLD) K55 - $75 (one only) EV1831 - $25 (one only) AL-3 - $50 (1 only) AL - $25 (1 only)
  2. I hear ya! I can’t move on to the KHs until these go....which considering what’s happening in the world isn’t a bad problem to have. I am flex on the price. Thanks.
  3. OK, thanks, just making sure it could be seen. Thanks for the comms check.
  4. SOLD: Hi All, Gloss Black La Scalas with Bob Crites' XOs (A-4500), Drivers (A-55G), Tweeters (CT-120), and new gaskets. The cabinets are gloss black and are in good shape for their age. These speakers sound fantastic with my Heathkit monoblocks or even the CJ SS amps. I am in the DC area and moving up to KHorns. Thanks.
  5. Fantastic results, way beyond my skills. Thanks for the info.
  6. Hi All - I am looking to buy one (or a pair) La Scala K-400 (metal) or K-401 (composite) LS horn and the bracket associated with them. Thanks.
  7. Woofers installed, look clean, Sounds fine, and I bought panels and gasket material to seal them up. I might rotate them just to be safe. Thanks for the advice
  8. Since these were the first and only LSs I have ever seen I didn’t think to ask about bottom panels. Now I know.
  9. Old post I know but can you use basic plywood screws? 1 1/4” ? 4 per side? I just picked up a pair of Original La Scalas ($1200) because the owner upgraded to K-Horns due to lack of bass in the LSs. Both bottom panels were missing. Just picked up the Baltic birch 3/4” panels. Thanks.
  10. Thanks for the info, I plan on ordering the Crites AL-3 XOs next week. Ok, harder question. What amp pairing? I know very broad vague question. I currently have CJ ss amp and tube preamp. I listen to rock, classical, light rock, Jazz, and pop. The room is 15x25’. Budget around $1500 ish. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks again.
  11. Can they be refinished? Are they veneer? I picked them up for $1200.
  12. I didn’t pay anything for them but a military buddy deployed and asked me to sell them, part them out, or buy them. I would have fit them in somewhere but repairs are way beyond my skills.
  13. Sorry didn’t specify, my damage is the entire bottom of the cabinets, where the veneer has warped and the whole sheet would have to be replaced. Also, on one cabinet there’s slight separation of the wood. The dinged corners are the least of the concern. Will get pictures up shortly. These sat on a soaked carpet.
  14. All - Thanks for all of the support and comments!! I'll check them out on Thursday and if everything is as the owner says, I'll buy them! I will then either look for another AL-3 or buy the Crites replacements (ALK too steep for me right now). Thanks again, great group!!
  15. All - I have the same situation, pair of Original Heresy's that have veneer and cabinet damage from a wet carpet. The electronics are good and were untouched. Too expensive to fix? Part out? Or if "sell them as is" what are they worth? Thanks.
  16. The attached pictures are what was sent to me so far. The black rough burch cabinets have “slight imperfections “ but no damage or repairs needed...so says the owner. I am going to check them out tomorrow or during the week. Thanks for all of the responses.
  17. Klipsch Gurus - Brand new to the channel but need advice for a pair of La Scalas near me. Supposedly, the LS's are original, no modifications, everything works but one speaker has the AA XO with the K-55M and the other speaker has the AL-3 XO with the OEM 18310-2074. I currently own Conrad Johnson amp and pre-amp with IMF TLS80s ,which sounds fantastic with vinyl, CD, and spotify. Cabinets need cleaning up but no major dents/damage. I wasn't in the market for new speakers but I probably could get these for $1300-$1500. What all does the brain trust say? Thanks in advance.
