  1. Still looking for a nice set of Cornwall's that won't bust my budget.
  2. Hello, Interested. Reached out via PM and sent you my direct email. Thanks
  3. Got a pair of CW1's for 1K less than 15 miles away. ---- Looking for a pair or Cornwalls I or II or newer in CT area. Cabinet condition not as important as sound. Thanks!
  4. Howdy, Recently purchased this working Fisher 800-B (paid $450 US) to use with my Heresy II's. Always looking to improve sound without over spending. What would give me my biggest bang for the buck? Replace some tubes? Have a tech look at the receiver and or purchase a Crites crossovers? Wondering what the availability will be, no that Bob has passed - RIP.
  5. So I purchased a pair of Heresy II's last year and have them paired with a Adcom preamp and an Mondial Acurus amp. Very please with the overall sound. I have an opportunity to buy a couple of redone Dynaco Mark II's for $800 . The owner states that the are 10 watts ( thought these were 50 watt mono blocks) . So my question is will this be a jaw dropping improvement or will it just be a PIA for me and a money pit replacing tubes? Would a tube pre-amp give me a bigger bang for my buck? I listen to flac files and use Roon on a Raspberry Pi, along with Qobuz and Tidal. TIA
  6. Any reason to look at swapping out parts on this purchase? Crites crossover new or rebuild or tweeter? Significant gains or more coloring and nuance? Thanks
  7. Thank you, @LTusler . This may scratch my itch. They look great. have you purchased from?
  8. Thanks. Thinking that a fellow Klipsch owner might have something and was not interested in the usual locations for selling gear.
  9. Took a look. at some of the Will Vincent Dynaco ST 70 restorations. Out of my price range, but it seems there is no direct contact or website. Only connection is with people who resell the equipment for Will.
  10. Wanted to dip my toes into the world of tube amps to go with my new/used Klipsch. I thought that maybe The Fisher X-202B or X-202C might be a great place to start, That said, working condition would be better, but would consider non working as well. Thanks!
  11. Wanted to dip my toes into the world of tube amps to go with my new/used Klipsch. I thought that maybe The Fisher X-202B or X-202C might be more financially approachable than a Marantz or Mcintosh. That said, working condition would be better, but would consider non working as well. Thanks!
  12. Such a beauty. I am looking to buy one if anyone has one that is ready to go or needs work. Thanks
  13. Yes, Revel M20's on generic stands. Adcom preamp and an Mondial Acurus amp.
  14. "Out with the new and in with the old!."
  15. Terrific! You are exactly right!
  16. That's very kind of you Peter. I hooked them up late today and the sound very good. I am not sure I am inclined to do anything with them at this time. We are almost neighbors, because I live in Durham.
  17. So I was able to pick up a sequential pair of Heresy II's from a good home with a serial number of 8715065 As for placement what is generally a good place to start - how far apart, how far from the wall and angled or straight. Thanks!
  18. Thank you, everyone for your valuable input. After some reading, I saw that the II's were preferred and found a pair for a few dollars less than the posted price (and in better shape). I live in CT and was hoping that "There may be a willing local forum member who would gladly help you get these speakers up to par"
  19. Tank you, Dave. That is very helpful. From the video that was sent, it appears they play and I can hear them in person tomorrow. If I removed the back, is there anything I should look for and how does one test the drivers (other than the obvious listening). Finally, is there a list of people who service or can replace the capacitors or can this been done by any HiFi technician? A Thanks
