  1. They'll be good as new after you do a little refinish. The KLF 30's are still one of my fav sounding Klipsch speakers.
  2. Great find. Would love to run into a single La Scala to use as a center channel.
  3. Appreciate the tip — I'll look into the spades.
  4. The sub is an RSW-15. So a decent size candidate for the Khorns. Also in my speaker config I have the sub turned off for 2-channel listening. It's just Pure Direct sound to the Khorns for CD's and records. And then the sub kicks on for movies, games, etc. Seems to be working decently so far.
  5. I cannot stop listening to music with them. It's like rediscovering it all over again. I've never heard such a live sounding, forward stage before. The bass response is so powerful and accurate. The tweeters are almost too harsh at times but is most likely due to being brand new and running the type of amplifier with them. I will say they're much less harsh than the highs on my RF-7's though.
  6. I'm extremely impressed with the overall craftsmanship on these speakers. The wiring and connectors are high grade. What would be a better connector on the speaker wiring other than banana plugs?
  7. What a fantastic day. Better than any Christmas, I have to say even knowing how large these are I was still surprised at how much space they take up in their boxes. Unboxing and putting together was super easy thanks to how well Klipsch packaging was. I haven't stopped listening to music and even watched Avengers End Game for a completely new experience today. Some of the most impressive tracks of music so far: Enigma: The Omega Point Tori Amos: Cloud Riders Chicane: No Ordinary Morning Armin Van Buuren: Mask But honestly. EVERYTHING sounds incredible on a Klipschorn.
  8. Delivery day is tomorrow (Tuesday Oct 6) morning. Couldn't be more excited. The dealer was 2.5 hours from my house, so a bit of an excursion but I was certainly tempted to go rent a U•Haul and get them. I'll post up some photos tomorrow of the unbox and set up.
  9. The dealer sent over a couple of photos. Getting real now.
  10. @dwilawyer I do have a room all set up and reserved with corners wide open. It's probably a room that is right on the cusp of being too small, but I'm going to see how well they fair. I currently have a Denon AVR X4200W amplifier that will be powering them because they will be part of a 7.1 home theater set up, but may resort to a different power setup depending on how listening sessions go. Just got word that they have arrived at the dealer. They're working on delivering them via truck sometime early next week. Photos coming soon...
  11. Perfect timing — just got this note from my dealer: "Speakers have finally shipped The estimated arrival day to us is on Thursday October 1st."
  12. Thank you for all of your thoughts and feedback — the challenge is being patient especially with the impact of Covid on manufacturing. @Schu I went back and forth a bunch on finishes and finally landed on the Satin Black Ash. It will match my other components and speakers and I just love how they look with the silver mesh grills. Can't wait to get started on breaking them in. I will share photos when they arrive.
  13. I ordered my first Heritage series pair of Klipsch's and went with the flagships. The wait is both the hardest part and most fun. I'm a little discouraged by how long it's taking to process everything, though. Order date was July 27. The Klipsch rep said they would be done with production by middle to 3rd week in August and could expect shipment at the end of the month. It's now September 25 and still no clear word from Klipsch on when they'll even be done with production, let alone a shipping and arrival date. For the owners that have waited on their custom build, is the wait time usually this long?
