  1. Hello, I am in the beginning process of building(Planning) my own KLF's Clones using 4 Ciare HW321 Woofers with Crites 600 Horns 55 mid driver and CT120 Tweeters. It has only been 2 years since I acquired everything๐Ÿ˜† I am finally Itching to buy Sheets of MDF, Cabinets will be about 3cu.ft. larger that OEM cabinets I am intrigued what fellow KLF owners have to power your KLF's. Myself, I am looking into a Set of Bob Latino's Dynaco Tube amps or some vintage Sansui eye candy. As of right now, I only have a 1974 Pioneer SX-1010 receiver at 110w x2 @8ohm. I also heard that certain amps favor certain speaker, perhaps you have experimented with different types. Cheers
  2. When you upgraded your KLF30's did you notice the ohms for the Ciare HW321? I just received my new CIARE HW321 and checked with the OHM meter and it reads 5.7 even though they are listed at 8Ohm drivers. So depending how I wire them up I will either get a final Ohm load of 3 or 11. Not sure how this will effect everything.
  3. So I have been in contact with the Crites, very helpful folks by the way! I basically am sticking with the CIARA Woofers but will be using the C-600 Cast Alum. Horns with M-55G Mids, and their CT120 Tweeter with horns and crossovers of course. They all-ready warned me that they can't guarantee anything since they are unfamiliar with the specs of my woofers but we shall see. ๐Ÿคž BTW The C-600 Horns and Mids are the same as Cornwall's
  4. Yes, I' will have to do some math, get dimensions and start on the cabinets. As soon as i do, I will probably start a build thread. Does anyone know the material thickness of the OEM Boxes being used? I most likely will use 3/4" MDF but will have to compensate if the OEM thickness is 5/8 or 1/2"
  5. Will Do! Now I just need Gaskets, Mid Drivers and Crossovers, Cant Wait!
  6. Cool, I'm definitely going the DPHL route, I just ordered 4ea. 12" CIARA woofers, Ebay Mid/tweeter Horns and the DE120-8 Tweeters. Now I just need the mid Drivers and Crossovers I'm +$800 into it now. there is no turning Back
  7. I just found the DE120-8 tweeters for $75ea. are these the same? I just need to find tom horns for them. https://www.parts-express.com/bc-de120-1-neodymium-mylar-compression-driver-8-ohm-2-3-bolt--294-5809
  8. Perfect, It now makes sense. I want to make sure I can get all the hardware first before I pull the trigger on everything. Home Depot has Birch Ply with my name on it
  9. I can deal with $365. However on his web page it states two different drivers for the Mids: Atlas PD-5VH and K-55M driver made by ElectroVoice https://critesspeakers.com/klipsch_midrange.html
  10. Yeah I will definitely try to go through Bob, $410ea. is a bit steep
  11. I see two different drivers in his pictures, are these suppose to cover the Mid and High or are these just an example of what he offers.
  12. What size Horns do the Tweeter require? I see the Mid's are 1" exit.
  13. Thank you for the Link, They are Purdy, I can all-ready Visualize Copper Fasteners in them ๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. Thank you, i just want to stress that the Horns dosen't have to be an exact fit worse case scenario, since it is being build from scratch and will not have any fitment problems. I have reached out to Bob Crites last week and I'm still waiting for a response. That website is a bit hard to figure out if you don't know what you are looking for.
