  1. I picked up a pair of H1 recently. They're in great shape and sound wonderful. Serial #s are 92T488 & 92T489. No paper on back but have different stampings on sides of back One says USA and the other says AS and below that an inch or so is a P. Inside is clean with Type E crossovers and they have a lacquer (?) finish. Cannot tell if that is factory or owner applied. K-77-M tweeters/K-55-V mids and K-22-EF woofers.

I'll post some photos when I can find the damn cord for the camera...I recently moved so I cannot find a damn thing. And I packed it.

Here's a photo stolen from the ebay listing. Not going to change a thing (took me 1 1/2 years to find 'em) as I said above they sound wonderful. I did open the back and loosen/tighten all the screws on the crossovers. That did seem to wake up the right speaker a bit. Only change I'll be making is a pair of Crites slanted risers on a suggestion from another forum member. They should be here this week. Until then I've rolled up a couple towels to give them a little rise in the front.

  2. I think some of the price hikes are people selling things they don't really want to sell. So if I price it high maybe the SO won't be so angry when I end up keeping them. Or if they sell it's enough money I can buy the new whatever I want.

  3. I picked up a pair of Heresy (1?) yesterday. Unfortunately they lack the paper on back. Stamped serial numbers are 92L488 and 92L489. They also have some letters stamped in the upper left and they are AS  P. Only thing I can figure out is they are 1973...U think. They are in great shape and sound wonderful. Any help on what I have?

  4. Klipsch R-610f. Big jump.

Schitt Modi3+ through a Topping PA3s class D. I may hook them up to my 1965 Fisher 440T just to see what it produces.

Currently listening to Tchaikovsky's 1812 by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Damn.

Awesome!  What are you going to use them for?

Just listening to lots of music. I was disappointed at first but now after listening to them for an hour or so I don't know what I was expecting. They sound great. Right now I'm listening to Classic Ellington by Simon Rattle and it is exquisite. Need some work on set up but we'll get there. I don't understand what p[eople expect for bass but it's clean and crisp. Not muddy or booming. And the mid and highs are clean. They seemed thin and tinny at first but I took my time and actually listened. I'm very happy with the choice.

  6. Nah but I did have cataract surgery this month. Fookin amazing! No glasses/contacts. Improvement was immediate and incredible. If anyone in the Baltimore/DC area is looking at getting it done ,message me I got the doctor for you. Guy's skills are otherworldly.

    Goof luck BTW.

Dood. Nice house and of course the Jubilees are lovely. The view out the center window does beg the question...where do you live? It looks like quite an inviting place.

  8. Ahh...Purple jezus. take an Igloo cooler and fill halfway with ice. Add 1/2 gallon Everclear-1.2 gallon CHEAP vodka-top off with grape KoolAid or similar toxin. Drink until you fight puke or pass out. Repeat. :D

The resilience of youth...I miss that ability. Not that I'd do the above if I could but there's a few other things I'd engage in were I made of steel and rubber like I was then.
