  1. I would be putting the R-41s' in my bedroom as front L/R to match the R-52c that's in there. Don't think I want too much more umph for the bedroom. Currently have some little Yamaha satellites in the bedroom as the front L/R and rear surrounds and just doesn't blend well up front (obviously). Thought slight upgrade to the living room rear surrounds and pretty good upgrade for the bedroom fronts? Plus the R-51s' are on sale for a very reasonable price right now ($180).
  2. I currently have Klipsch r-41 speakers as my rear side speakers, directly to the L/R of my main listening position and r-41SA speakers placed directly above them at ceiling height. Not totally ideal I know but I have room constraints and couldn't pass up the price I got the 41sa's for ($190) . Couch is obviously up against the wall. I am thinking about replacing the side r-41 speakers with r-51 model but I wonder if having the bigger r-51's under the r-41sa speakers would drown out the sound of the r-41sa too much? I have to imagine it would have at least some impact on the effectiveness of the 41sa's even if I were to tweak my settings on my receiver. Any input would be appreciated!
  3. Hey guys, im curious if anyone has any first hand experience comparing the 450c and 504c? From looking at the specs on crutchfield and klipsch the only differences I see between the two are that the 504 has a vented tweeter and is maybe a 3-way speaker as opposed to a 2.5 with the 450? Im running a denon 3600h with 625fa l/r. I have been running the 450 for a couple of days and its a big improvement over my old 52c. Blends in better than I thought it would. Just wondering if the 504 is much of an improvement from the 450? Just ordered the 504 seeing that it went on sale for $50 more than I paid for the 450. Read somewhere that there is a noticable difference with the vented tweeter! Thoughts? Denon x3600h R-41 surrounds R-41sa height R-12sw R-625fa
  4. Was a little worried about the rp having good "timbre" with everything else being reference but doesnt seem to be a issue. That I have noticed yet.

  6. Maybe a stretch but make sure your speakers are wired in phase (black to black red to red). Do a factory reset and then try the calibration again. If you have to go into the +volume maybe an amp issue. IDK
  7. Im trying to figure all this stuff out myself. My Yamaha just had no problem getting the speakers up to 90 db and its a pretty basic reciever from what I have gathered. Bi-amp feature made little to no difference in dbs. What gauge speaker wire are you using, how far are the runs and is it a big room? Did you buy the speakers from a place similar to klostmo? Im using 14 guage wire I think.
  8. Will look at that denon. Have read a lot about the denons running really hot and not lasting as long as the yamahas. Running the speakers on a yamaha v-385 now and seems like it might be a little weak for them. Sounds fine though. Thanks!
  9. How many watts would be enough per front channel to give the 625fa speakers the power they need?
  10. Was wondering more about how many watts the receiver would be putting out.
  11. I just bought a 5 speaker system including the r-625fa fronts, r-41m surrounds and r-52c center. Would like to stick with a yamaha receiver but im new to all this and cant quite figure out what receiver models would be good for this setup. Also have an r-12sw woofer. Any help would be great.
