Hi SwissChris, I just came across your question, and I am like 95% similar to your situation of room layout, speakers I’m looking at, and even end goal 5.2.4 (would like to do 7.2.4 but just not possible to place the side surround without it cluttering the open living room/kitchen/hall way. what did you end up going with? I’m thinking of getting the same receiver plus LCR and 1 sub to start, and would love to know what you ended up with and how far along are you towards the 5.2.4, thanks!
