  1. Think I said that one night at a Grateful Dead show... My memory is still a bit fogged... 😂
  2. Ya got the partial right! lol
  3. @Tarheel didn't Code move relatively close? Might have been a late nite comment so dunno. Someone did though didn't they? Lunch? Doc pulled me off coffee sooooo I'll attribute any errors to that. lol No coffee, soda, nada just water. Having withdrawals here. lol
  4. Wellllllll, I'm kinda partial too...
  5. Ports don't forget the ports! Add 100k to the resale price.
  6. Atta boy. I always knew you had a good heart. Why don't you pick them up for 50 then we can all pony express them up to ya. We'd be ever so gentle. Guys would be linin up to get them up to you. Ya give em a new pair of Jubes to pony up to ya you'd never see 'em again. There's that!
  7. You guys have zero compassion. If they were 50 ya MIGHT be able to turn them around w/some cash in time. As a kid I would have owned them for the 50. On second thought... Well, nm.
  8. Do I detect a lil bit of male bonding going on btwn you two now that you're neighbors? Asking for a friend. 😂💪
  9. I went print to digit once upon a time. That was enough. 28 years of B&W along w/boxes of Kodachrome 64. Yep, know what I'm doing w/those. Today & digital? I'm LUCKY to get it outta the phone and onto a hard drive. I honestly am clueless. I've got stuff on phones laying here. lol My daughter set the phone to upload to Google then when Google Face Groups hit I was lost again. Stressin on how to do it so I asked her. She turned somethoing on the phone on and said there it's done. I'd spent 3 days trying to figure out how to avoid losing all my photos in google. This crap is nuts for old guys! lolol
  10. It's spring time and love is in the air! I'm not a big bass eater myself but I do like a lil bass. Lake Erie perch though? That's another story! 😂 Now @billybob just for the record that smoked striper bass you speak of? I might just have to stop in some day and pull up a chair w/ya. Smoked is great! I'll bring the Heineken. Can't be that bad. Never thought I'd eat catfish either til I hit the Army. The old cook said the small ones were great and he was right!
  11. Welllllll, look at what the dogs dragged in! Bout time! Was just about ready to put an All Points Bulletin out on you! Why did I know it was run by German technology somehow? Sheesh. These places in the US are insane. I watched my PrimaLuna amp come from LA to Ohio by way of about 49 other states. Somehow it got to Ohio in the 7 days they said it would. That was UPS. When Nikon specified everything had to go DHL it was crazy. A LONG time ago and few places to drop it off. Today it's cake. Gonna be interesting watching how those albums come. Glad you slipped in!
  12. @Tarheel Hope the Swankster responds well to the dental work. You're just going to have to do a better job brushing his teeth. Floss too. Gotta use the floss! He can't snarl at the mailman with no teeth! More rain sliding thru today so there's that. Clearing up and pushin the temp up into the low to mid 70's for the weekend. Next week more nice temps so I'm just about ready to scratch winter off the hit list. It'll sort. That's just funny. I thought I was the only one who asked myself that question. I've got gear and lp's coming from everywhere and usally track it for the laff. Had a good one yesterday. Picked up a couple lp's from Great Briton which were 72$ so I hit the go button and they were on the way. THEN I looked at the final bill wondering how much shipping was. Usually it's 15 or so. Yes, Sir! Only $32 for shipping. Should be a hoot watching this one come in. USPS sends stuff to Philadelphia THEN to Ohio? Seriously??? "The whole world's gone mad." Nils Lofgren. Spot ON!
  13. Read about the LS in about 1964 and used what I learned to write a book report for a 9th grade English report. It all made sense. I have no clue what I first listened to. Probably some Brenda Lee, Lesley Gore or Motown. First true "system" I heard was a Fisher amp I think and a JBL Paragon a buddy's dad bought. He had a TV/record store and sold JBL speakers. I'm thinking that was part of the deal he cooked up w/JBL was the Paragon. I was amazed sittin on the couch hearing things I never heard before. Klipsch rigs were just totally outta my price range so I started w/a Marantz receiver, Dual 1229 and a pair of ESS AMT-1's. Added tons of Marantz gear cause I got it from a distrubuter at cost. Hooked a local TV store up w/Marantz gear so the guys gave me a break on my stuff. After that it was a complete Infinity RS 2.5 speakers system w/a stack rack full of SAE gear. THEN I made the move to Klipsch w/my LS, PrimaLuna and my trusty Linn turntable. Then stole a JBL SP128S sub at auction. Factor in about 110-20 feet of vinyl and I'm in my happy place. I'll also add that without the help of some of the guys in here it never would have happened. Wonder if I hit the lottery tonight so I can get new Jubes?

    The Other Discs

What you eatin there Willis? You have literally been cookin! Dining with Della Brown cranked? 😂 Whew! Some good stuff right there.
  15. That's not you! Quit it! 😂
  16. That's crazy when you think about it. The things she saw/lived thru during those years actually built the foundation of the USA. Just amazing when you think about it. Automobiles instead of horses, trucks, electricity, telephones, cinemas, medical technology just everything. Wait! I missed prohibition! 😂

    What I Got Today!

    Eh, give him a day or two. 😂 E-Klipsch John, E-Klipsch! 💪😂
  20. BTW, @JohnJ NOW I know why you asked if I had any Dom Martin while you were here. Won't be long and I WILL have! Ok, @Mikekid here's the story on Nugent. Dug the book out and thought of our friendship's begining. I was a kid up in Grayling, Michigan, which at that time, was home to one of the world's greatest archers Fred Bear. It was home to the Bear bow company. When he passed they built a museum with a lot of his favorite "kills" displayed. It was like 3 bucks to get in and it was built next to a ski area just outside of Grayling. I was in there just nosin killin time because my grandfather and dad were bow hunters. Place was just about empty. This dude came in with his buddy so the convo started jokin around about this 5-mile long python he killed somewhere w/this tiny lil bow and arrow, which was about the size of a quarter. You didn't even see it at first cause it was mounted and wrapped up top of the outside wall of the place. Crazy schiit right? So we started laffin and wound up leaving at the same time. So he wanted to go sit on a bench, have a beer and smoke at this vacant ski lodge. So off we go and finally swapped names. He had the long hair down to his shoulders and said he played guitar in a band close to Detroit and loved archery so they drove up. Ok, so we started swappin stories and laffin. A few years later there was this Ted Nugent guy on the radio? Yup, it was him so I did a show of his somewhere and waited after to see if he remembered the tour. lol That started it. Friends ever since. I've seen him tons of times since and he always remembers and laffs when he sees me down front just as I do lookin up there shakin my head. Years later he was actually playin a county fair about 40 miles away so I made a road trip. Yup, gave me the book and signed it in pink even though he had a black sharpie layin there. He said I'd look good in pink and he only used that color for friends. hahaha I'm not wearin PINK for anyone including him is EXACTLY what I told him. lol He prolly used the pink for the hot chicks he's not foolin me. The added stuff was inside the book. No clue who Lili Hayden is or was but she may have opened for him. Don't really remember. Just stuff and memories at my age. lol Think OLD and not dead yet! Thinking about it now, I never did read the book. Maybe this summer for a good laff. Check out his NYE parties sometime if ya wanna hoot. I did one w/another couple back in the day. Always him and an unannounced guest. The year I went up it was Sammy Hagar, which was off the charts I thought. So Ted comes out and actually shot a flaming arrow the entire length of the Palace in Auburn Hills the home of the Detroit Pistons til they tore it down. The entire section up top in the rear right corner from the stage was open w/a figure of Janet Reno showing under the spotlights as his target. Nuts? INSANE in a FULL venue? He lit her up brother! Crowd reaction? OFF THE CHARTS! Insurance ppl could breathe a sigh of relief. I've seen some crazy schiit on stage but that one's right up there. Nope, never saw Ozzy w/the bat or non-bat. lol I told 'em all he was gonna nail it when we all saw what he was doing. NEVER a doubt in my mind! Afterall, it IS TED NUGENT! I actually think that might have been the last NYE bash there or maybe the following year was. Dunno anymore. That was enough! lol This stuff was inside. Who knows? lol I've got stuff everywhere. lol Yuppers Cleveland's HOME of ROCK & ROLL. Today a different format but back in the day? People wonder WHY the Rock Hall is in Cleveland? That's ANOTHER sotry and a half. Whoever came in things were done the right way. Glad to say I was a part of it too. These guys in here had heard stories but it's just been my life. Simple! Now I'm wondering how much I could get outta those two stickers... $50? $100? They are un-obtanium anymore. Lili Hayden & Nugent? Maybe. It's outta the box for sure but a county fair? A bucks a buck I guess. 😂 💪
  21. @Mikekid Some nice shots there. Lightning is great stuff to shoot. Was North in Michigan one summer and caught an amazing electrical storm. So my buddy and I broke out the tripods and went to work. Craziest thing I ever saw. It was like the lightning coming up from the ground going into the clouds. Not down from the clouds. I'm STILL stumped on that one. Ruled out cloud cover so dunno what or how but I'm still stumped 40 years later. lol
  22. 😂😂😂💪 Now to find that darn @grasshopper! Not like him to just disappear like that and I'm wondering... He'll surface. Hope it was just internet garbage and nothing serious.. Maybe his wife grounded him? Gotta be a reason. Hmmmm... Got the yard mowed today for the first time. Hit 72 and didn't know what to do with myself. I kinda wanted to see how "TruGreen" was doin on thingsanyway. Yup, 4 dandelions and miles of ground ivy. Hopefully they step up their game. Blah. Won't be long and I'll be throwin some bulbs in planters and getting with this crazy couple who started a totally insane plant business. They're pricey but the things they have are colorful and totally outta the box. Saved a section along the back side of the house when I was landscaping just to throw some crazy wild plants into. Will be interesting to get their input. Might need a loan @Tarheel 😂
  23. @revrseat70 good job! He's now a happy boy!
  24. Had a bit of time today so pulled this out again. Cloudy here for the E-Klipsch so blah. Typically Knopfler but "Beryl" is such a great song with an amazing back story. Wiki Beryl Bainbridge for more info and skim to the last graph. Tracker is the eighth solo studio album by the British singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Knopfler, released on 16 March 2015 (17 March 2015 in North America).[1] Release[edit] Tracker was released on CD, double vinyl, deluxe CD with four bonus tracks, and a box set with the album on both CD and vinyl formats and a bonus CD with six extra tracks and a DVD with a short film directed by Henrik Hansen and an interview with Knopfler.[2]
