Bar 48 HDMI Arc Not Connecting

Hey everyone. First time posting here. I have a Bar 48 Soundbar and a Toshiba Fire TV and I'm having a problem connecting the audio with the provided HDMI cable. It's not working. The sound is great and works fine with the optical cable but nothing with the HDMI. Am I missing something? I've searched all over for answers on this. Is there some trick I'm missing? Any help would be great. Thanks.
