  1. Weekend bump with price reduction
  2. Mapleshade Scott Lk48, $975 just re tubed couple months ago with EL84’s JJ’s from Tube Depot matched quad. Also Matsushita 5ar4 $80 few months old (Mullard copy made with Mullard tooling) I have both and can’t tell difference. Also have some Electro Harmonix I’ll through in. Phono section was disconnected by Mapleshade to keep noise down but can be connected back. This is a great amp I have owned it for 10 years and never any problem has played flawless. I used it with Altec 604’s, klipsch, Joseph Audio Pulsar, and LSA towers with ribbon tweeter 6ohm 87 db with fantastic results. Hard to let this amp go just trying to fund a speaker purchase. 15 year member Audiogon username paulcreed 100% feedback. Payment PayPal family and friends, personal check, money order, buy with confidence from long time audiophile. Will post pictures tonight thank you for looking
  3. Jimbo I do have proof that it is a true Mapleshade mod. I found the knobs and I felt raising price a little was warranted since I had no idea of its value, is why I asked here. There's one on eBay for $1700 so around $1100 I thought was a fair asking price to start. It also left a little room if lower offer was made. I really don't want to argue I'm just going to pull the amp of the market I really don't want to have to deal with implying it may not be a Mapleshade mod, knobs and so on. I'm going to just keep the amp. Sorry for any trouble I caused.
  4. To be honest that's why I hope someone buys it quick before I chicken out, I really do love this amp that's why I've held on to it so long. My tube pre and solid state amp cost almost 8 times what I'm asking but this amp comes across more musical and satisfying at times, it's hard to let go. Only reason for sale is new phono pre that maybe I really don't need, mark 1101 does make sense?
  5. Knobs are in a box somewhere, If I can find them, I may have to find some on flea bay. I like the big knobs for easier adjustment personally doesn't bother me and like the look of silver knobs may not be for everyone.
  6. Sorry Mapleshade feet would not be included, thanks
  7. May need to up price a little then $1150
  8. Sorry Mapleshade amp has been pulled from its sale. Sorry for any inconvenience to all out ther that looked at the Scott. Thank you Paul, any concerns please feel free to contact me.
  9. I've been drifting, tried to find a pair of klipsch then started looking at single driver like Tannoy, Omega, DIY Audio Nirvana. Now I've come full circle again back looking at Klipsch again. The diy Audio Nirvana looked real interesting in a 12 or 15 inch driver in a 5.6 cabinet for under a $1000. I think I'm going to keep looking for a pair of klipsch, there not easy to find at a fair price it seems. Anyone know a good deal on Forte, Heresy or other models please let me know, sorry I disappeared for a while I'm just a little confused trying to match this Scott lk48 up.
  10. Thanks, I'm not hooked on Heresy, after looking around the Forte looks very interesting. I will also look for Chorus. I was looking to find a speaker to bring the Scott Lk48 to play with again. I had considered open baffle, Omega type single driver but I have always liked the Klipsch house sound from long ago. I have some Klipsch RF 82's for home theater but they are in the closet. I tried them for music but not a big fan but they are great for home theater. I'm in New Orleans not much in Craigslist down here. I'm willing to take a road trip if I have to just not too too far, maybe 5 or 6 hours if I had to.
  11. Hi, thanks everyone, I posted this morning but it said moderator had to approve it. Steve I don't even post on Audiogon anymore for help it's rough over there. If my post doesn't go through I will repost. I'm looking to spend $300 to $1000 plus. I don't mind a project and can solder and do a little wood working. I'm open to other Klipsch speakers, very unfamiliar to all the models. I just know that Scott amp likes horns, thanks again for any help.
  12. Oh no, I had no idea, rest in peace Sancho, god bless you man.
  13. Sancho Panza, might be a crazy question but did you buy them to resell, if so would you like to sell them, thanks
  14. Hi, I'm new here but a 15 year member on Audiogon. I owned Klipsch and Altec 604's long long ago. My other system is mostly modern tube and solid state gear except for linn lp12.I have a Mapleshade Scott lk48 in a closet I would like to pull out and use again. Can some one suggest which Heresy to buy. I would love to buy the Heresy 4's but out of my budget for second system. I'm also, open to most other models of Klipsch but just don't want a speaker that shouts at me. I just like how lively and fun klipsch can sound? This system will be used with Scott amp, Well tempered Labs turntable, Pass Lab phono pre, MHDT Orchid tube dac , Auralic streamer. I can solder and am open to a rebuild. What version would be best and a fair price to pay. Thanks for any help and suggestions. If someone has something they would like to sell please let me know, thank you Paul
