  1. Nice Review , I love the new bass horn on the new Heritage Jubilee , it’s innovative and effective. Some horn aficionados pay homage to the more basic designs, having always rejected the idea of anything direct radiator or vented . The irony of this is that with a traditional folded horn, which is typically shorter than optimal, it will revert somewhat to a direct radiator as the horn unloads , this is not a pure horn response, although excellent sound but attenuated. Forget the idealistic view of bass horn purity, it doesn’t exist in the real world. Klipsch uses the woofer back chamber in these new designs to augment an unloading horn. A brilliant design and execution. I’ll take the new version, an easy choice for me .
  2. Yes , no doubt audible, very much so for Flevoman . I was impressed with the DSpeaker results graph. Maybe a middle /compromise position could work for him , but my point was just that there seems to be a very small acceptable range to work with here , very sensitive hearing I suspect. I’ve also acknowledged the aberration in response , so I would also be guilty of any wrong or misleading statements , I don’t think anyone had any of those . The thread just seemed a little cringeworthy at times ,going on and on about the flawed Lascala bass , that’s what I saw , as a forum member, I try to be a good ambassador to the brand , protect and promote. Thanks for the reply 🤓

    Thanks billybob🤓
  4. It’s difficult to find solutions without a problem. True the Lascala’s run a little hot in the 150 hz range, and the op does seem to be sensitive to this . But when this blip is removed and a very nice flat response has been achieved, the op then perceives a thin response, the exact opposite of the original problem, and all this happening within a 6 db range 🤷.In this case ,finding stereo satisfaction is not likely to happen , as the variation in recordings would far exceed the tolerance of the listener . Equalization is the right tool for this situation ,but several curves will likely be required depending on the recording . There is an implication that runs throughout this thread that a serious fault lies within the Klipsch Lascala , I don’t believe it , nor should you.
  5. I gotta say you guys are clever 🤓
  6. You make a good point 🤓first one this year
  7. We all know what’s appropriate to post here, we don’t need direction from you ,I’m not taking anything personal , just reacting to an annoyance .
  8. I made only one humerus post this morning , big deal , get over it . You’re the one who suggested that I move on , I didn’t like it . Go back and read all of my posts on your thread, you’ll find that I contributed in a helpful way, what’s your problem ?
  9. No offense Flevoman, but I don’t think it’s wrong for myself or others to acknowledge what happened yesterday, I’m sure that lots of us were following the troll thread with interest, a little short lived reflection and humor won’t hurt a thing .
  10. Right let’s move on , how about dropping the resonance issue , I think you’ve made your point .
  11. A lot of what he said didn’t hold up to scrutiny . To bad though , just as we we’re warming up to the bastard ,we find out he was a troll 🤓
  12. I figured it was just a matter of time until you crossed the line 🤓.what a dumb Buck .
  13. When you high pass your Lascala’s to 80hz, your subwoofer/ subwoofers will take over and you had better have one hell of a subwoofer setup to competently replace the lost Lascala bass , if you don’t , then it’s not going to sound good ,but it will sound much better when running full range , when only the lowest range gets boosted and the Lascala can play out to max benefit . What your experiencing here is not enough good subwoofer. And you may be conflating your weak subwoofer as a mono / stereo issue .🤓
  14. Mono and stereo will be substantially the same signal , particularly after the common practice of summing when mastering a recording . You may be capable of hearing a differences in some recordings , or maybe you just think that you can hear a difference , but your perception of improvement would definitely be subjective , not universally seen as improvement 🤓
  15. So what does this mean for me , not much , actually nothing , not in my humble opinion . I’ve compared mono bass to stereo lots of times and concluded that any difference in my home setting is insignificant . Even this guy seems to realizes this , as he insists that we use earphones to detect a change in sound . Earphones are different than loudspeakers in that they give significant directional cues even with low bass signals ,unlike room loudspeakers . 🤓
  16. Rock out in corner , rock out on wall , rock on , rock out whilst amateurs look about ,socks box Knox , knox in box , fox in socks . Knox on fox , in socks in box 🤓
  17. The level of annoyance that you experience here may indicate a hearing sensitivity that some people develop at various frequencies ( hyperacusis ) . This could be at play here , equalization can help in situations like this , but if you’re listening at high enough levels , it will again become apparent . Not saying that this is your problem , but this is not uncommon , although it is more prevalent at higher frequencies. I have a sensitivity centered around 2500 hz ,showing up mostly with pure tones . There is nothing wrong with using good eq , after all our perception of sound isn’t likely to be flawless and may even be damaged ,so it may need a little help .🤓
  18. No I didn’t miss it, that’s why I said , “but for most “, you being not like most , interpret the anomaly as annoying, and I understand that 🤓
  19. Moving a speaker from 1/8 space to 1/4 space alone will cost 3 db in LF response . Is Claude wrong in pointing out that the minus 3 db point will move to a higher frequency when Klipschorn is moved out of a corner? . Klipschorn serves us better if it can be placed into a good corner.
  20. Some listeners are able to identify fairly accurately where anomalies exist in a speakers fr , but for most , it will be perceived as only a small variation in voicing .The strong suit of Lascala and Klipschorn is the wonderful unique clarity and realism , a quality that is very rare to find elsewhere. To display these properties most effectively , only high quality recordings will do , common poorly produced recordings stand out as inferior because the realism that we treasure is missing in the recording . Hi resolution recordings sound extraordinary on Lascala , so we know what they are capable of , if you hear something amiss , be suspect of the recording as the cause of your trouble 🤓
  21. Sounds familiar, my buddy had initially regretted getting married to his fourth wife, but soon realized that he had indeed made a good decision 🤓Give it a little time .
