  1. Thanks to all involved, especially to Mark who has been extremely accommodating given the logistics involved in this transaction 😃 Today I’m a very happy man! These amazing subs will soon be going on a road trip to Indianapolis and then shipping down-under to their new home in Melbourne Australia where they will be treated with the same care and respect as Mark has shown them - they are in amazing condition. They will become part of my new Home Cinema setup I am slowly piecing together with help from many on the forum here - you know who you are. Such a great community here - your support and friendship is appreciated all the way from the other side of the world. Thankyou!!
  2. Hi!! I’ve been searching high and low for these subs and have a WANTED ad here for same….. Would love them and have shipping company I can organise for everything… hoping they are still available 🙏🙏🙏 pm sent
  3. Thanks 001 !! I will see what I can find out - will be handy information to have when trying to match drivers to cabinets 😃
  4. Hi!! thanks for the replies…. I have been in touch with Eminence and indeed - a couple of their production drivers are similar but not the same. I will ask to see how f they will give me the t/S parameters and get the closest I can if I still can’t find original Klipsch drivers. cheers!!
  5. Possibly also a Sigma Pro 18A-2? both look very similar and specs are very similar also hoping someone will know …… 🤞🏻
  6. I haven’t contacted Eminence, but I’m not sure they would volunteer that info - maybe worth a call I guess just curious if I can use this driver as the Klipsch has been impossible to find, or purchase in Australia.
  7. Hi!!! Im having a hell of a time finding a pair of K-47-EP2 drivers to make a second KPT-684, so have been looking under every rock….. In doing so, I have compared the Eminence KAPPAPRO18LF8 driver It is visually identical, and even the specs and sensitivity (+6db for a pair of drivers in parallel) is a match for the KPT-684 Is it possible these drivers are actually one and the same with a different sticker on the back?? sure would make my life easier as they are available off the shelf new cheers!!!
  8. Thankyou!! 😃 not easy finding specs on Klipsch drivers compared to JBL All very hush hush
  9. Hi! I’m after a pair of K-47-EP2 18” woofers from a KPT-684-SW, or, if you are happy to pop it on a small pallet for shipping, a complete KPT-684 If you have any of the above for sale, or know of some for sale, please let me know 😃 thanks!!!
  10. Hi!! Im a little confused with the suffixes Klipsch use on n their drivers Essentially I want to know if there is any reason I can’t use a K-47-KP with a K-47-KT? Are they one and the same? What does the KP and KT symbolise?? Also a bonus question (sorry!!) What is the difference between a K-49-KT and a K-47-KT? Thanks in advance! 😃
  11. Arrived safe and sound! I couldn't recommend you highly enough. Thankyou!!!! I'm still after a K-47-KT driver if anyone has one???
  12. Hi! I am reading with interest about the RCC-122-BTS subwoofer, and the KPT-884-SW Is someone able to confirm the width of the RCC-122-BTS-SUB because only height and depth are listed on the documentation? Does a frequency vs spl graph exist for the KPT-884-SW to do a direct comparison? The RCC-122-BTS system graph is published Is there a performance difference between the K-472-E driver and the K-472-EP driver? I’m just curious! cheers!
  13. I will message you about these - sounds like a great alternative 😃😃😃 Thankyou!!!
  14. Thankyou!!! I actually know about that one, as I bought the other one he had for sale in the correct basket 😂😂 Not sure what differences there are in the basket or specs, but wanted to keep to original Thanks for the heads up though!! 👍👍
  15. Awesome!!!! Thankyou for both replies! I’ll check when I get home and send proper replies! thanks so much!!
  16. Hi!! Im looking for one, or two (only need one but happy to take a pair!) of Klipsch K-47-KT 18” drivers I will need it/them shipped to Australia, so will need boxing up etc Please let me know if you have any or can point me in the right direction ….. cannot buy from Klipsch USA as they will not sell direct, and are cost prohibitive. I’m after used, good condition, ready to use drivers 😃 thankyou!!!!!!
  17. Thanks to all for your help - I now have the drivers I was after
  18. All sorted thanks to Khornukopia Drivers are now packed in an awesome foam padded box and on the way to Australia. Thanks to all who posted and helped out 👍👍 Love the community spirit here
  19. Gday Khornukopia! thanks for the reply and the offer…. I believe he lives in or near NY state - anywhere near you? Not sure what USPS or UPS would charge to send those empty boxes, but it could be worth the $ to ensure they arrive safe….. I’ll get a more accurate address and if you can give me your zip code I can check the costs to see if it is worthwhile? He is also trying to source some boxes locally but they are proving to be a little bit elusive at this stage. I might also suggest a Storage King or the like for boxes? Any other ideas for a common empty rigid box supplier? cheers!
  20. Gday! A forum member here has been kind enough to pick up a pair of K-45 drivers for me and is going to ship them to Australia for me. It’s a big and bumpy trip and I’m trying to give the drivers the best chance of survival, so I was wondering if anyone might have some original shipping boxes for 15” Klipsch pro (or other 15” drivers) with nice thick foam inserts etc that were designed to ship drivers all around the world unscathed….. Of course the other option is tons of bubble wrap etc but thought I would ask here as I have been amazed at how helpful this forum has been so far! If you have a couple of original 15” driver shipping boxes and are happy to ship them empty to another US address (at my cost of course) I’d love to hear from you! cheers from down under!
  21. Thanks for the reply, but only after the K-45-KT's at this point, as they are to match existing drivers.....
  22. OK..... So the lead didn't end up working out I am still looking for a pair of the K-45-KT drivers, or a pair of the newer replacement K-45-ST drivers. The K-45-ST is available from Klipsch, but Klipsch USA will not give me pricing, and the Australian distributor for Klipsch professional does not stock or import that driver.... Surely there is a way?!?!?! Very frustrating! I have only ever previously used JBL professional drivers, and this kind of thing never happened - parts are always available, and dealers stock product Is there another site that specialises in used PA or pro gear in the US? Other cabinets using these drivers include the KPT-904 and the KI-215.
  23. Hi Randy, thanks for the advice I have been in touch with Klipsch USA and unfortunately that driver is no longer available. Not even a recone kit for it exists. The new driver that supersedes it is the K-45-ST I have a lead on some of the K-45-KT drivers from another member here so will see how it pans out 😃 cheers!
  24. Thanks for the reply….. I am hoping to find some decent priced used drivers here at the Garage Sale Klipsch in Australia are notoriously expensive, and if buying new, I would be selecting a driver that has some support and at least some specs available, so new isn’t really an option for this project. I already have 4 of the K-45-KT drivers (used) and I am chasing another pair to build 3 double 15” boxes. If someone has an unused KPT-904 or a KI-215 that they are happy to part out, they both use the drivers I am chasing. cheers!!
