The price of both speakers is exactly like here in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, here in Europe we have to pay a bit more π

Same topic with the same artist twice?

Can you perhaps explain what you mean by this? (Dutch, sorry)

I appreciate the referral to this topic. I had read it before, but revisiting it now, and from what I gather from the responses, the Jubilee seems to perform well in smaller spaces. Interestingly, one might intuitively think the opposite, that a more spacious area would be a requirement. When I first saw the Jubilee, my initial reaction was, "These giants will never fit into my home. Too large and too expensive." However, within a year, I've come across two demo pairs on Marktplaats at significantly reduced prices. Now, a sense of curiosity is growing, and there's a feeling of "who knows, maybe someday." π

Ever try moving away from Klipsch speakers?

cant help it , but i really love that vintage look -
Tricky question. I've owned both the CW3 and the Heresy 2 myself. Found both to be excellent speakers, but the CW3 could sound a bit boomy in my room at times. However, the soundstage was expansive and dynamic, offering a fuller sound. The CW3 was definitely the better choice between the two. Interestingly, it shares the same midhorn as the Heresy from that time. Afterward, I had the CW4 and listened to the Forte 4. This new line of speakers sounded significantly better with more detail, openness, and balance. However, I haven't heard the Heresy 4. Logically reasoning, I expect the CW3 to provide a fuller sound, more bass, and a grander experience. Assuming the sound signature of the Heresy 4 is similar to that of the CW4 and Forte 4, the Heresy is likely to sound a bit fresher with more detail, dynamism, and better balance.

Any idea what kind of material is used for the gold wire? I can't see if it's plastic or something with some kind of metal. For some reason I have the idea it is oxidized.

Thx for the help. I can contact Klipsch to see if I can order a new grille. Probably this will not be an issue. But I was hoping someone could give me a tip to remove these stains.

i bought them from a hifi shop . they where used for a demo but still new so i am the first owner. i have no idea about warranty , never thought i would need that πΆ

No, I placed both grills against each other and stored them like that. The magnets of one grill were against the front of the other grill for over a year, resulting in this outcome.

Someone who can help me with my issue. I bought the CW4 over a year ago and immediately removed the grilles, storing them in the attic. Now, as these speakers are going to my brother in two weeks, I retrieve the grilles from the attic and notice very clear markings where the magnets from the other grille were in contact with the front. It seems like the gold wires have reacted somehow with the magnets from the other grille. No idea what to do about it. Using a mild soap doesn't do anything, and I'm hesitant to use chemicals. Any idea how this could happen and what I can do to remove these marks? I have a feeling the gold wires contain a metal that has oxidized. Also, I'm unsure if I can order a replacement grille if the stains are unremovable.

Troubles with the sound of my new La Scalas
Flevoman replied to Bhai's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I don't quite understand how your quoted response clarifies things. But indeed, with the LaScala, you shouldn't expect deep bass. -
I own several amplifiers and have had the chance to try out others as well. This is entirely my own experience and opinion based on my music style and taste. I absolutely prefer tube amplifiers, preferably SET. I currently own two Decware amps, and both perform exceptionally well, with the Taboo sounding more pleasant to me than the widely discussed Zentriode. I also have two 300B SET amps, and while they sound great, I still prefer my 2A3 Pushpull amp. The 300B, to my ears, has a bit too much warmth/bloom combined with the AL-5. The 2A3, although initially sounding slightly less grand, offers a cleaner sound, more air in the music without losing musicality. If you appreciate a clear and dynamic sound, I highly recommend the Melody brand. Unfortunately, I don't have experience with Primaluna.

Before purchasing a subwoofer and later regretting it, take a moment to read the discussion about the upcoming Heritage horn subs this summer. Unique horn subs will be released that are expected to be the best match for the LaScala. The price is still unknown, but they likely won't be cheap. However, in terms of sound performance, this is likely to be the best choice.

Ever try moving away from Klipsch speakers?
Flevoman replied to Bananas and Blow's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
If I may contribute as well. I've never had a brand other than Klipsch. It all started with the RF3, and then all the subsequent speakers have been from the Heritage series. I've visited several audio shows and listened to various high-end speakers at audio stores. Sometimes it didn't sound particularly special, and sometimes it sounded very good, but I still missed that enjoyable live feeling, the dynamism that I love with Klipsch. This was actually exactly my experience at an audio show I visited with my brother two weeks ago. They had the most expensive speakers and sets on display. Truly, with everything, we shared the same opinion; it could sound grand or accurately reproduce the sound. But with all of them, we missed that distinctive thing that Klipsch hasβthe gripping sensation, the live feeling, the voices that can sound so real. Except for one set, the B&W 801... Honestly, I was quite impressed with how the vocals sounded. I would have liked to hear this next to the La Scala and see how it would compare. But well, a speaker set for 45,000... π And the low end was nothing, too fat and too heavy. So no... no other brand has convinced me yet; I don't expect to part with my AL-5 anytime soon... -

Troubles with the sound of my new La Scalas
Flevoman replied to Bhai's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I get the impression that we are overwhelming the OP with all our well-intentioned tips, providing information that doesn't quite align with what he states in his opening post. "The vocals are not forward and magical as they used to be. The sound stage is great. But it almost feels a bit too clinical and lacks some warmth. And yes the low end of the bass also is bothering me"
