Quick questions, I've got a pair of '82 Cornwalls with K-77-m tweeters, and was wondering if either the CT120 or DE-120 are straight drop ins? Having experience with both, was there one you preferred more, or do they have any major differences? Thanks, Duncan

Congrats on the new speakers! Is there any specific kind of amp you're looking for? Vintage? New? Bluetooth/streaming capabilities? Phono section? As far as modifications go, I'd say the most popular modifications are ordering a set of titanium tweeter diaphragms from Bob Crites, and replacing the capacitors on the crossover, either through Klipsch, or through another vendor. Good luck and enjoy the speakers! I've had mine for a few years now, and hope I never have to sell them.

What are your thoughts on the SEX amp? I've read reviews of it as a headphone amp, but not any of someone using it to power speakers. Have a set of Cornwalls myself, and there's one for sale locally for a decent price. Thanks for any info!

Always been interested in this guy's amps. I'm in the DC area so may have to drive up and hear them some day. Have a set of Cornwalls ('84 I think) and I'm about to finish a DIY pair of OB speakers using the Lii Audio 15" full range drivers, so I might be in need of some tube goodness. I run everything with a Marantz 2215b right now (which I love), but might be time to switch things up.

Yeah, 12" passive for the 1s. Plenty of bass response still! Haven't heard a set of IIs with the larger passive, but hope to at some point. I feel like I haven't been able to find a clear consensus as to whether people prefer the 12" on the 1 or the 15" on the II.

It is! Only been up for a few days, and they already lowered the price a bit. I already bought, worked on, and sold a pair of Forte 1s earlier this year, otherwise I'd be all over these. Tempting though.

Going to DIY a set of the Decware Zen Master speakers, so I'll have to update when they're done. Drivers are on their way now, and just need to pull the trigger on what material I plan to use (hardwood lumber, mdf, ply).

That's interesting to know! Not planning on picking them up myself, but seemed like a good enough deal to share. Did all first generation Heresy's have those drivers, or did they change over the run of the first series?

Also took time to put in new foam gaskets around all the drivers, passives, and x-over cups and dampened the mid horns with dynamat.
