  1. When I demo’ed the REL and the JL Audio e110 in the dealer showrooms, I liked the JL Audio Sub MUCH better. It went deeper, and sounded cleaner to my ears down low, when I played a CD with a pipe organ (Jongen Fantasia in A). My local dealer allows me to take equipment home to demo it in my system, which I did with the JL e110. I have an Aric Audio Transcend KT 120 SE tube amp, connected to the Heresy iii’s, and the only connection available is a high level connection. Bill
  2. I don’t have an SVS sub, but, I do have a JL audio e110 sub making beautiful music with my Heresy iii’s in a 15 X 25 foot room. Master Level (volume) is at 12 o’clock, crossover set at about 50 hz, phase setting is 250 deg, and I found that I like the sound better using a high level (speaker level) connection between my amp and the sub. Hope this helps. Bill
  3. Hi Max, For MOST of my critical listening, I use my Aric Audio KT120SE, with KT88’s and JJ ECC802’s. It’s a single ended tube amp, and throws a wonderfully tall, wide and deep soundstage with my Heresy iii’s. If I’m playing music with vocals (particularly female vocals) or acoustic music, I’ll pull out the KT88’s and throw in EL34’s. If I’m having lots of people in the house, I connect my Rogue Sphinx to the Heresy’s and can easily”rock the house”!!! Bill
  4. Good afternoon Ram18, I have not owned the 6000f’s, but, I have owned Cornwalls, 8000f’s and currently, Heresy iii’s. If you watch a LOT of movies, you MAY be happier with the 6000f’s. They dig deeper than the Heresy’s, and you may like them better for the movie effects. For 2 channel listening, at least to my ears, it is”no contest”! That’s why my Heresy iii’s are still here, and the 8000f’s are not! The 8000f’s didn’t come close to that LIVE sound in my listening room that the Heresy iii’s deliver SO much better. Bill
