So It's been a while since we drove to pick up these beauties. And I must say I am still over the moon at these. Nickyboy6100 has done it again...fantastic job of 'retro-modding'. It was so nice to spend a little time and visit and hear these babies sing. You are da man! Of course after Kerry heard the Tidal difference--we are now subscribers to the top line and...he bought a dedicated streamer- he choose the DM-A6. Loves it- and through these I am hearing nuances in the original mixes I have never heard. It is amazing. Now I am researching a new cartridge for the turntable and an ultrasonic cleaner....Yes it never really ends. Thank You so very much for parting ways with these- I know you had planned to use them, which makes them all that much more special. We hear the love you put into them every time they are singing their highs, mids, and lows. Our neighbors are enjoying them too.... So to all those who didn't think these were really sold--I thank Nickyboy6100 for keeping his word and storing them until such time we could get away and pick them up. Oh and P.S -----GIRL SCOUT COOKIES RULE!

A really big shout out to nickyboy6100. He was gracious enough to part with a set of upgraded La Scalas. My husband has been really enjoying them... Let me go way back...I saw Floyd in Concert at the Milwaukee County Stadium...last minute tickets...it was raining...we got there just as the bands were changing...'seated' on the concrete steps (yeah security made us move a number of times)...but under the overhang...facing center stage...concert was late starting because of the downpours...when they came on stage they started with the not yet released 'Shine on you Crazy Diamond'..when those four solo guitar notes were played the world stopped. Stadium was sooo quite... Then those drums...--after playing that album, they then played the Dark side album--- When they got to the line 'see you on the dark side of the moon' the clouds parted..there was a just risen full moon...centered over the venue ....seriously I hope to never forget that memory. Nickyboy6100..I thank you from the bottom of my heart, as I just listened to "Shine On" on the La Scalas....brought it all back--goosebumps.

And so it begins... I want to thank nickyboy6100 and his wife for being so gracious and accommodating to my husband and I . Originally we thought we would arrive at their location in the early evening---well with traffic and more gas stops than planned it was a lot later. Our navigation put us on back roads for the last hour...that was fun. Then our payment and Paypal was locked because we had been in 5 states over 24 hours. It was crazy, and while I got the financing straight and got to chat with his wife, the boys got to talk and listen to the speakers. Deal made, loaded into the back seat area of the truck and off to home. The speakers will be located in the man shop....hmmmmmm. So I'll have be satisfied with my 90's RF-7 towers until I find----- I really can't say enough about how fantastic nickyboy6100 and his wife were to us. the great deal on the La Scala's aside, great people were met that evening...and great taste in music as well. Thank You is not enough.

Off current topic--We are possibly closing a deal on one vehicle and trading another on it--If it comes to the close --we will be doing a road trip..which will allow me to purchase a set of LaScala's.. His dream car--my dream Speakers....trying real hard not to get too excited--had too many pulled at the last minute-- this is my car we are trading--

Yes! We sent our photos of our trade, sellers are happy with it , and now we've sent our questions about the one for sale...I keep telling my DH that he needs to remember that we will be picking up these, (if not already sold) so he needs to leave enough room for them in the covered truck bed. 36" x 24" x 24"?

Hope my vehicle purchase goes through and can add these as well.
