I posted this in the wrong place the first time I posted it in "personal audio" or whatever the forum is my bad i tried to delete it but i cant i guess..so I've been dealing with this noise from my stereo speakers for the past year and a half or so and I know i found one of the issues its in my crossover. It's a pioneer CD-635 that I picked up from a friend and a friend of mine soldered the wires on the harness for me but must not have got it quite right because when I was rewiring some things earlier I touched the ground wire at the harness and it cut off and on so there is a short somewhere. My question is on the inside where the harness plugs in it's labeled...gnd...acc...b in....b out.. not sure I know what b in and b out mean exactly. Thinking battery but Ive not seen that before I don't think(I'm by no means a professional) and what would the acc be? I know it stands for accessory so would that be a remote? This could explain a lot of my issues

Nope.. all my amps are grounded separately too.. different spots on bare metal of the frame

Is this how I reply to individuals? The"quote"thing? And no capacitor was installed.. I did the install myself but I've done many stereos especially in my own cars and have never had this issue that I can remember

I have a 2007 Scion TC. I never had an alternator noise when I had any of my older cars for some reason.. had an 84 cutlass,91 mustang gt,and an 87 grandam never this stupid noise lol

No I don't know I think it could be the crossover I have a crossover but I'm really not sure I've heard it I've heard it more with the crossover but I kind of hurt it without the crossover too the crossover is an old school like pioneer 635 I do believe I'd have to pull it out and get the number exactly I'm just not sure I don't I used to hear the whining noise like the alternator noise but I'm not sure I really hear that now now I just hear the fan kick on and off through my speakers.

I have now been trying to find this noise for about a year and I can't seem to find a solid answer. When I am sitting in idle or will any other time really I can hear my fan click on through my stereo I also get a loud thunking noise from my RCA jacks when I unplug them or plug them in. I've been told a ground loop I've I've got three amps all of which are individually grounded to something on the car the chassis I just did all that and the noise is still there I don't know what else to do somebody says get a filter while I want to know what the problem is though there's a reason it's clicking like when I hear the fan kick on I can hear it tick.. sometimes I'll hear my turn signal like just click on it won't I don't hear it continuously but that's sometimes can anybody please help me it's driving me insane.
