  1. Well, you’re not the first person to scoff at a 4 speaker stereo but I am pretty immune to that criticism. I have enjoyed a 4 speaker stereo for many years in several machinations. Audiophiles speak of the sweet spot between the speakers as to having a sound stage, pinpointing the instruments. I find the music listening experience equally enjoyable without that effect. We were all robbed by the music industry when they had the opportunity to embrace quadraphonic sound and trashed it. When I get this set up... come have a listen.
  2. Yeah, as far as budget goes, I pretty much blew my load on the CW IV’s. I guess I’m back to saving up for some subwoofers. Maybe 2 CW IV’s and 2 subs would have been a better decision. My marriage survived the the first onslaught... so there is still hope.
  3. Initially I assumed a single Klipsch subwoofer would match this system but this community has been immensely helpful with all of your knowledge and experience. I will find out what a mini DSP is and I will check out your suggestion. Thx
  4. Wow, wouldn’t that be nice ! Its too bad I don’t have an unlimited budget. 😁
  5. This sounds reasonable, thank you !
  6. Thanks for the advice jjptkd: The room is 32 x 24 x 12 . Soon to have 4 - CW IV’s in the corners. I don’t know if it’s ever been done before, or why, lol. Perhaps your suggestion to try one/ them out would achieve the best results.
  7. I am in the market for a subwoofer to compliment my new Cornwall IV’s. Having never had a sub in my system I would appreciate some advice in choosing appropriately. 1 sub or 2? Size/power? Connection? My Amp/preamp has no sub out. Is there any truth to the rumour that Klipsch is bringing out a new line of subs ?
  8. I do not have the second set of CW IV speakers yet..... curious how they would look stacked like that, lol. Also, which subwoofer would sound good in the middle ?
  9. That is the orientation I have found to be the best, although at times I have only had the room to stack them which also sounded good. Nice looking setup jjptkd
  10. Thank you for your response. I have been running a 4 speaker system for years with an ab amp and two different pairs of speakers with no issues. Is it advisable to run 4 identical speakers in the same room ?
  11. I want to run 4 Cornwall IV’s in the same room. How can I wire them to a 2 channel Macintosh amp?
