  1. I posted this in the general questions, but thought this would be more appropriate. I have a friend that has aquired a SONY non powered sub. The sub only has a speaker wire conection on it. He also has a Denon 2801 receiver. The question is how can he or can he hook this non powered sub up to the sub out port on his receiver. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks... RJB
  2. A friend of mine has a low grade SONY sub that just has a speaker wire connection on it. I do not think it is a powered sub. My friend also has Denon 2801 receiver. Is there any way to hook the sub to the sub out on the receiver? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.... RJB
  3. A friend of mine just got a 5.1 sound card for his PC. He has the 4.1 klipsch configuration. The sound card has an output for the sub, and the fronts and rears. I am pretty sure that he had the fronts plugged into the sub and he was not using his rears on his old sound card. Does anyone know what ports he needs to plus his speakers into?
  4. Does anyone know a good web site that has a wide variety of klipsch speaker packages? Ihave looked, but really found nothing good. I bought mine in a packaged deal, but I can't find any good deals anymore. Can anyone help? Thanks RJB
  5. I was on a plane coming home from Detroit and I sat next to a guy who had the Bose headphone. He was bragging about how he had spent nearly $300 on them, but that they were worth it because they were the best sounding headphones he had every heard. He also said that he had the Bose system in his house and they the sound was very nice and it was the best sounding system he could ever hope for. It took all I had not to laugh my *** off! I took all I had to bite my lip and not totally go off about how poor the bose system is. I asked him if he had every really listened to anything else and he said, "No need." "I know that Bose is the best so there was no point in shopping around, because there is nothing better than bose." That was word for word too. I just smiled and kind of chuckled a little. He asked me what the chuckle was for, but I just played it off saying that I thought it was funny that he didn't shop around any. I did give him Klipsch web site though and I asked him to compare the 2 and then base his decision off performance. I doubt he will do anything, but I wanted to just go off about the quality of bose. But I didn't and just bit my lip. (It was a long flight and I didn't want to make an enemy). I just thought I would share another story about a dumb consumer. RJB
  6. I guess the question is....what are you going to use it for? If you are going to use it for more graphic work and what not then you should get a mac. Although...there have been some very nice advances in graphics on the PC side. Personally I don't run mac and trash and most business applications are run using windows PC's. I also think that PC's are more user friendly where as mac are somewhat hard to figure out. They are the best thing for graphics though.... Like I said, you need to ask yourself what you are going to use it for. Then make your choice according to that. RJB
  7. Blue, Here is a big thanks to you! I talked to the people that purchased the receiver and they were greatly impressed with your professionalism and the quality of the product. Thanks again for posting the sale! RJB
  8. I would recommend buying her something too. I know my wife gets mad when I get something and she doesn't so definitely buy her something she wants and maybe she will not be as mad! RJB
  9. I don't think the cable length makes a difference. I ran my speaker wire throught the attic as well, and I am sure they are different lengths. I didn't even stop and think that it would make a difference and they both sound great, so I am sure it does not matter. RJB
  10. Bob, Go to the Website part of the forum. They explain how to do it. You can test there. See...I learned...
  11. Has anyone every heard of a speaker called Euphoria spell? They are horn loaded and I saw a pair on ebay today, but I can't seem to find them anymore. I tried to do a search on them but I don't think I am spelling them right? Just wondering if anyone had ever heard of these speakers. RJB

  13. I agree with Justin...STL you need to relax a tad and drink a beer. Breathe in...Breathe out.... RJB
