  1. Several responses from Klipsch staff including Trey here - Thank you. I will patient and hopefully get these repaired and back outside in time to enjoy the Summer weather.
  2. No component parts available for these anywhere? Disappointing.
  3. I am in need of replacement woofers/tweeters for a pair of AW-650’s that were brand new until my college age kids over drove them one evening. These sounded so good for the money and I am not having any luck w google re replacement parts. I own dozens of Klipsch speakers literally from Chorus II’s to Legends, Reference, Quintets, multiple subs, bluetooth headphones/speakers. Never blew anything up until these. Help? Suggestions?
  4. I have a brand new, in the box, Chief Model PWL-2081, Plasma TV Wall Mount bracket for sale. This unit is the top-of-the-line with a 15" articulating arm with pivot and tilt features......This mount was never installed and was for a second room that I am now upgrading to a larger Plasma screen. This mount is awesome as it allows you to push the unit almost flat up against the wall or pull it out, tilt/pivot and turn it to face far left or right......Great for large rooms or entertainment areas. This mount will work for all PIONEER 50" Plasma TV's regardless of year/model # Here is a link for the exact unit (Model PWL-2081) and the sale price they get: http://www.mountsandmore.com/Chief-M...00-CF1113.html This unit was $395 brand new and will include all factory hardware, manuals and packaging.......I am asking $300 plus shipping from Metro-Detroit.
  5. Bruschi54 (Dorian) - This is sold, right? Brett
  6. I am a diehard klipsch fan and own KLF-30's, C7's and 2 pairs of KSP-S6's. It has been a while since purchasing anything new and I am building a theater for a friend. We have a $5K front projector with a 52" x 92" screen. He has a budget of up to $2K for the Fronts/Center/Surrounds. We want maximum bang for the buck, however we have limited options for rear surrounds. We can not use conventional WDST type surrounds as there is no wall on the left rear side of the room. There is one support pole that is framed and finished (6" x 6") on the left side that we could mount/point a smaller satellite type surround. Otherwise we have the option of ceiling mounted (in-ceiling speakers) or monitors on stands for the rears. Please make suggestions for Klipsch or other (yikes!!) options. Is it possible to use 4 RB-75's? on pedestals and a matching center. I may do a Klipsch sub but I believe there are better value subs out there than Klipsch, specifically SVS or Outlaws LFM-1 All responses are welcome and appreciated. Brett
  7. I am building a new home and will have an area in my large new basement that I am planning to build a dedicated theater completely closed off with a single (maybe double french doors at the rear entrance) door. The room dimensions unfinished are as follows: Length: 27 feet 5 inches Width: 13 feet 9 inches Height: finished height will be approximately 8 feet for the entire room Once finished I can basically subtract 8 inches from each dimension to account for each framed/sheetrocked wall, leaving me with 26' 9" and 13' 1". How does this measure up using the golden rule? Is this a good room size/dimesions relative from an acoustic perspective? What is the rule and what would you do giving these dimensions to work with. I appreciate any feedback, advice or help you guys offer. Thanks. Brett
  8. Please e-mail me at bloomis914@aol.com with price for KLF-30's and KLF-C7 as a package and separately if you would separate them. I am mainly interested in the KLF-30's. I live in Metro-Detroit. Brett
  9. I have a pair of the highly sought after Klipsch Chorus II's that are black and in perfect working condition and they are slightly too wide for my theater stage. I am looking for a taller, narrower speaker too replace (KLF-20's or KLF-30's Black or comparable) Asking price is $800. I live in Canton, Michigan and am frequently on the West side of the state near the Indiana border which could help us both eliminate shipping costs. Please feel free to e-mail me at bloomis914@aol.com.....I have been a Klipsch forum member for several years now and own about 20 Klispch speakers. Let me know if you would like pics or are interested. Brett

  12. Hightone, sorry to bother you with my "silly" request. However, since you are asking $500 for 2 KLF-20's and single KLF-C7's go for $250 or more all day long I thought I would give it a shot. Believe it or not many people have sold/converted KLF-20/30's into center channels. Again sorry to bother you, and have a nice Christmas.
  13. Hightone- I have been looking for ONE (1) KLF-20 for use as a center channel. Would you consider a trade for a perfect condition KLF-C7 (Black)? Or if anyone else is let me know. Brett bloomis914@aol.com
  14. Tool and Primus sound amazing on my HT system with Chorus II's and a Parasound 6 channel amp. If you like Bass without the hip-hop this is where it is at. I also have a second system with KLF-30's and Marantz SR-8000 that is equally good sounding. I think the edge goes to my KLF-30's though... Speakers are only half the battle. Good quality amplification is key to get the most out of your Klipsch or any less efficient speaker for that matter.
  15. do a search under "Chorus II's" or under my screenname of all my posts. I have a pair of Chorus II's that I completely refinished from the original factory Oak Oil to a Black Satin that matches Klipsch factory black perfectly. Email me at bloomis914@aol.com if you can't find my posts or details. Good luck. Brett
  16. I have a pair of Chorus II's in my basement theater set-up that I would be willing to sell or trade for a pair of Black KLF-30's. I love these speakers and they are in perfect condition. Speakers were originally Oak Oil but I had them professionally refinished in a black satin that matches the Legend series black, perfect. The Chorus II's are in perfect working order but are a little too wide for my stage, I would like to have the KLF-30's instead which have a narrower footprint. Will sell for the right price or trade straight-up for a pair of black KLF-30's. Anyone interested please e-mail me at BLOOMIS914@aol.com and I will provide photo's or any other info you may want about them. Sorry but I will not ship these speakers as they weigh approx. 90 pounds each.

  20. Does anyone know where I could find the following Klipsch part: KD-16, 15" fiber composite cone, passive. This is the rear, passive radiator for the Chorus II. Please respond here or e-mail me at bloomis914@aol.com Thanks

  22. Firepinch- Welcome to the DIY Tempest builders club. I too researched many retail and internet(SVS) subs before I decided I would build the Tempest Beast. I built the Tempest 214L Adire Alignment and am using the PE 250Watt plate amp. I initially was very skeptical about performance expectations but when I turned this thing on and ran test tones through it I thought the house was going to come down. Around 16-18Hz, in excess of 120dB there is no real noise/bass to speak of..... All I can say is that the pictures, ductwork and everything not fastened down begins to shake violently. It literally makes your gut turn and feels like your heart gets off pace. Just awesome! My wife and kids were actually scared when I did this test as they were upstairs and thought something was blowing up or I had electrocuted myself in the launch process. There are a few scenes that really bring this beast to life that I use to demo for friends and they are ToyStory II opening scene when Buzz's rocket booster kicks in and U-571, the "depth-charged" scene. In addition, I submitted my pics to Adire Audio and you can view my sub in their hall of fame for Tempest Applications. Go to www.adireaudio.com. Best $450 I EVER spent. This sub plays so low and loud and hits so hard that I can't imagine what the new Tumult will do or what Mistrass' sub will pump out. Tempest can be summed up in these words: Sub-sonic bliss. Enjoy, Brett
