So, every 6 or 7 months I look at this board again, and feel compelled to post in this thread. It's become natural instinct to me. DAMN YOU HOFY! Oh, and I applaud you for creating this thread. ....and DAMN YOU!!

I don't remember the last time I posted here, but I need help. I am hating Microsoft. I am one step away from constantly refering to them as M$ or Microshaft. Here's the situation: -I'm putting the girlfriend's computer together -she bought the Wireless Optical Desktop for Bluetooth -it needs XP, so I install XP over the 2K installation I just did -then it needs the Bluetooth Update Here's where it all sucks. The box came with zero software. Furthermore, there is NO software on MS's website that I can download. This SUCKS. They have made this so damn frustrating I'm screaming. So my question becomes: Can anybody help? or Does anyone here have this product who can upload the software for me or something? Thanks.

Ahhh, the old Klipsch boards. I remember a day when there were only 2 or 3 Promedia forums. Sigh... Anyway, it's sad to see that I have dropped off the top 25 posters list. It is indeed a sad day for me. I remember when we were all amazed at how KBlair had 200 posts. He was the posting machine! But oh well. Glad to see so many people are now in the Promedia family. I'm just glad to see the systems finally sold in stores! Every time I got to best buy I crank up the 5.1 system on the shelf there and drown out the store loudspeaker system Oh well, that's all I wanted to say. Ah, I see. well I don't worry about that stuff at all, because I watch DVD's on my HT system, not my computer. And I have my speakers on a splitter to the front channel (the rear channel blew out - crappy sound card). I will say that the TV volume is very soft for some reason. I recently installed an ATI AIW Radeon. I love the card. Works perfectly. If DVD is all you're concerned about, and you are happy with your current 3D card, it's probably more than you need. I got it because I wanted to do alot of video capture, which I do now. I can get 22-24 minutes of video down to 50MB without much quality loss. Not bad! The image quality is very good when it comes to the TV tuner. I haven't even tried any DVDs since getting it, but I'm pretty sure it will do fine. I had a decoder card running in tandem with my Diamond Viper V770D and it did okay, but I'm anxious to see what this card can do for me. The skinny of it is that it's a great card, with excellent 3D acceleration, and the best TV tuner technology available on the market in this tier of video card. ------------------ FURIOS Df>c> Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, etc.

I need some web development help. Is there any way to make a link that the user clicks on, which opens a new window of a set size and set features. Here's the use: I'm filling in the dates on my fraternity's calendar. I don't want to put all the info for each event in the small box for that date. So I want to open a new window, say, 100x50 pixels or something, with no toolbars, that will list the rest of the info. I searched all the javascript sources I know of, and couldn't find a thing. I found one site that said it couldn't be done. Is this true? I found one script that could open a new window to the size of an image loaded into it, and I'd take that one, but all the toolbars are there, and it's very annoying. Strange thing happened: when he changed the port from an odd number to the normal 21 it worked, but he doesn't want to keep it on that port for fear of a scan from the college. Any ideas why I can't get a list on a higher port? ------------------ FURIOS Df>c>
