  1. Well, Bev, another one that got away. I hope the guy who offered $3oo was the same as the high bidder of $152. If not, high bidder gets it for $152 since bids were not cancelled. Could be interesting. I also wonder if eBay will want their cut of $300, not $152 since seller revealed the actual selling price.
  2. Never include even a part of a Cornwall in a picture captioned "two channel junk." BTW, I also live near Balto and recognized the Luna moth which is almost as hard to find as a Cornwall for sale.
  3. I may have a little 27" Japanese Telly but I have my Heresy underneath sitting upright under it, tilted slightly back. The sound is clear as a bell with great detail. KG-4s are on the wings and sound approaching mini-theater is mine at last.
  4. Dibs schmibs. I live near Balto. That means no packing!
  5. Does than mean you may sell your A ca dem y also" Hmmmmm?
  6. I am already pushing WAF to the brink. I swapped out the Quartet oaks for the KG4 walnuts because they matched the furniture around them. Putting a huge Academy on top of the telly would be, well, barely endurable for the decorator. (A black Academy would suffice as well.) But it's that or spend more time in the cave. (My "muscle system" and other transient equipment is in the basement.) The surrounds are now some dipoles that are okay for the time being. Thanks for the advice. K-foot.
  7. I have kg4's in walnut (with a cheezmo jbl center) and am interested in your academy speakers. Let me know if you want to sell them privately. K-foot.
  8. If you want to measure footprint, include the total area of the satellite stands AND subwoofer and WHERE you are going to place your sub. Ask the wife if she minds looking at poles sticking up on either side of the TV and a large black cube in the corner. (And remind her that she can't put candlesticks and planters on satellites!) Then, how much will you have to compromise optimal sub placement for aesthetics? BORROW a subsat system from a friend. (you can probably set them up side by side.) Listen to SW Episode II with your quartets. The most notable difference that you will like, at first, is the extra bass, when called upon, of the sub. But the Quartets hold their own in the bottom, IMO (I own a pair) AND give you STEREO BASS, which is important to me. Without a side by side comparison, you will never know the real difference. Then, put on some reference music and listen to both systems again. Don't be hasty, as you will be stuck with the sub-sat for years to come and you might build yourself a "cave" system private listening. Then you will have another problem which can't be solved here. Happy listening.
