OMG.

Question: Exactly how much is an Ultra THX II system anyway? At least compared to a Main RF-7 system? I've only heard the RF-7s in person, I've never actually seen that product line before.

I got ahold of a Bose Lifestyle Demo CD, I'm listening to the first track on my RF system, (The Lifestyle is downstairs), "Fills your room with full and rich bass..." when I listened to this same track downstairs, it sounded, alright, a little muddled, but alright. So then I put the CD upstairs in my all Klipsch system and the RW-10 just BLASTED the walls with the bass, it was soooooo clean and everything was rumbling, almost like a good massage (keep in mind that my room is small compared to the area that the lifestyle has to cover downstairs.) All the songs on the CD seem 'optimised' for the jewel cubes, they lack any real high and low fq, I can hear it very clearly with my speakers. Everything songs much richer and deeper, even on my Klipsch Promedias on my computer!!!! My favorite part is when it says, "...we decorate our home with music. All too often though, when we stop to listen to great music, we settle for sound that's only, 'average'. What great music deserves though, is full, deep bass to give it warmth *cue great bass track*, clarity to make it sparkle *harp, with some good high frequency, that sounds absolutely fabulous on my system*, and an open spacious sound, to bring our music to life."

It was probably the driver, perhaps he thought the Bose sticker was making the car more expensive and less efficient.

My grandfather has an old 70s era Sansui GRX-5500 4 channel receiver in good condition that he says I can have (he had sold the speakers that it powered a long time ago). Also in the stack is a "Studio Standard" Two channel equilizer that he no longer uses. Wondering if it was worth the trouble to take these home (as they are pretty heavy...) and play around with em. What kinda speakers would work well with these things? Only thing I have at home are threeway yamaha nsa600s.

Alright, I think I'm going to stick to RF-25s because I feel that they'll be the best balence of price, room size, and musically, since most of the time they'll be stereo speakers. Plus the woofers match with the RC-35, that's the main point. So maybe even the RF-15 paired with RC-15s/RB-15s and a RC-25 center? Anything that will save me money is good if I want to afford my books. This system will be doing music most of the time too, mostly soul and jazz, good deep lows. RW-10 could overpower the 15s?

Alright, from the $600 i had saved up, I just tacked on about $2100 so I decided to go for two RF-35s, an RC-35, and RW-10. Eventually I want to have a 7.1 system, with two rb-25s and rs-25s, probably going to use my old three-way yamahas just to test (they push really good mids, but the highs and lows get blurry). This is going to be a bedroom setup, multisource (computer, movies (20%), (60%) music, and dish tv (20%) (might install hdtv soon)). This is the wall that the system is going to be, I have a 30" Sony wega hd wide coming in soon, it'll be right in the center. In the pic, the left edge of the pic is where the door is (angled) and to the bottom of the pic is a bed that takes up half the room, the wall in the pic is 10 feet across, and to the opposite wall is approx 15'. Wow, I just typed www.klipsch.com and I expected that white/grey to pop up, and I was suprised, great work, works with the whole logo thing too.

Anything south of Manila, especially Mindanao, (Cebu is alright), scary, especially with the terrorist cells. I never see that in the upper provinces (my father and mothers home towns).

1. Finances available. (Selling my old laptop) 2. Personal use, upstairs, for when I'm not using my computer (Klipsch 5.1s) 3. Basically what I get from the dish, some DVD, my one PS2, basically a combination, but with that said, I don't really need a 5.1 setup at this time, I could even wait a couple of years. The room is a good 17x17. Bottom line, I'm looking for a good stereo. Possibly $200 for the fronts, $200 for the sub, $150 for the reciever.

And since I live in good old CA, that would level off to about 560 to spend eventually. I'm looking to replace my sony str-d1011 (reciever), yamaha sna-635 (bookshelf front and right), and probably invest in a sub (depending if I want to spend more on the fronts) Later on I'm probably going to add a center and two surrounds whenever the oppertunity presents itself, but for now a good 2.1 system is fine, since I watch movies downstairs. (Note: There is a Mitsu Diamond 65" WS-65713 downstairs, but there is a bose lifestyle 35 system connected to it and its almost to the point where I have to leave the room.) Currently, I'm stumped on what to divide the money into, the speaker brand really doesn't matter, nor does the type (bookeshelf floorstanding, floorstanding prefered, but I see how the budget hits that a little hard). Mind, this is a student budget, so really waiting for another 600 dollars of free expendible money will probably take more than a couple of months.
