  1. Been a while since I last posted, but I figure this is as good a thread as any to post in Glad you are all still around mmm Duct Tape... I remember the Overlocking the Promedias thread... that was great
  2. I have a sony DVD player with 5.1 outputs on the back, those of you out there with this you can get 5.1 with your speakers. I use the TV speaker as the center and I got some RCA-to-mini plug adapters from radio shack to convert the front and rear so I can plug my v2-400s into them. What you do to still get the bass without plugging it into the speakers is go into the DVD player setup, disable the bass, so it outputs bass through the speaker outs.
  3. I check in every now and then, but I couldnt help but post when I saw this thread again I'm with you Gxcad, I am still runnin v.2-400s with the high gain preamp as well
  4. Yep, everything is updated. No, I did not upgrade to WinXP from a previous version of windows. I formatted my hard drive and did a full install. I dont trust Windows Upgrading
  5. I dont know if any of you are much of game players, but I am having a problem with WinXP and Star Trek Armada 2 crashing on my computer... It will function just fine, then it will just randomly crash, it varies from 2 seconds into the game to an hour into a game. I was hoping someone could give me some insight. Thanks. 10. Alright, I found the V6s on another website, but i still dont have $80 to spend on them... I dont see why you all have a problem with the AIWAs, they have good bass response, clear highs, and enough power to make my head feel like a concert
  11. If you guys are talking about the MDR-V600s, I dont have $129 to spend on headphones... And I am pretty happy with the AIWAs... I dont see anything on the Sony Website about MDR-V6s... plus I dont know if I could get back to Best Buy to return these in time, I live on a college campus and the trip to best buy was a favor for me by one of my friends
  12. Well I bought the AIWAs, they are pretty cool. Didnt want to spend the money on the Sennheiser 590s
  13. Anyone have $200 they can lend me so I can get these headphones I really want them http://www.sennheiser.com/headphones/dynamic/hd590.htm http://www.us.buy.com/retail/electronics/product.asp?sku=90044478&loc=10998

  17. hehe, Rocker... were you trying to spell it wrong again?
  18. Candykid: I dont know if you have realized this, though you probably have... 3Dfx no longer exists, though some of their products still linger... As for their TV tuner card.. It is basically the TV/FM capabilities that the 3Dfx Voodoo3 3500 TV had... which I owned... and I must say it was quite the nice bundle, you could record TV at a couple different resolutions, it had a very versatile input/output setup (the POD) though I dont know if that was transfered over to the Tuner card... The "remote" was rather full featured and in general the card was fairly high quality... Personally I loved the thing. The only thing you must keep in mind is that you MUST have an external antenna of some sort to hook on the back of the FM tuner if you have any hope of getting radio stations... Computers have too much electrostatic shiznit goin on in them to use the card's little coax thing in hopes of getting a station. Oh.. dont know if this carried over, though it was pretty much a software thing... you could zoom in on what you were watchin on TV, it was kinda amusing.... well, hope this helps.. if you have any other questions just ask, because from what I understood the card is basically the V3 3500 TV minus the voodoo part
  19. hehe, I was part of the 1337 age on the BBS's, kinda fun back in "the day"... and I am only 19 In fact, I still use BBS's occasionally
  20. I say Creed - Can You Take Me Higher or Fuel - Hemmorhage or The Urge - Its My Turn to Fly do a pretty good job, they have a nice balance of lows, mids and highs. They dont overpower with bass or any other spectrum like other songs. Listen, and see for yourself. Make sure if you run it from MP3 format that you get a good one, I have heard some pretty bad crackly ones. Both Songs can be played Loudly, with a capital L, and still sound good, even though they are somewhat different where genres are concerned
  21. *Whacks Janko10 in the head with his 2x4*
  22. I'd say it shouldnt be closer than 4 feet cause the magnets on the 2 6 and a halfs are big dudes and they are not shielded, so safe would probably be 3 to 4 feet or so, and even then on an exceptionally heavy thump or somethin your monitor picture still may shimmy a little
